Chelsea, Chelsea, Chelsea absolutely the most loathsome club in the PL. The sooner they are relegated and disappear into the Championship where they can play teams of their stature like Leeds, Cardiff and Wolves, the better for everyone. Don't like Manchester United but the rest are fine, including Liverpool and the wonderful Spurs. If I was not a Southampton/Athletic Bilbao fan, I think Spurs, Manchester City or Everton would have been one of my choices.
For this game only, United. Morgan to score. Dortmund to knock out Spuds and then stuff United in the next round.
Where you live in the Midlands, you might just have a growing band of Leicester City supporters, I would hope, at the expense of the "glamour" clubs. When I worked in Portsmouth, one of the staff lived in Warsash, not a million miles from Southampton, in my opinion a good team to support if you live in the area. Nah! Her then 8 year old son adopted Chelsea. And if everyone in his class adopted Chelsea, Manchester United or Arsenal what hope is there for Southampton. Replicate that everywhere where there isn't a "superbig" club up and down the country and you begin to see why many real football fans loathe the "big" sides. That is one of the reasons why I loathe Chelsea as there are too many in Hampshire that have adopted them, It seems that some are too ashamed to support a very good club that is local to them.
I too mis-read this as a "cockerel in your pyjamas" which I think is illegal (well, perhaps not in 'Ampshire)*. I do share your suspicions of this closet Tottingham fan. *Isn't sharing your pyjamas with farm animals obligatory for men on the Isle of Wight? Perhaps Fran could enlighten us.
Have you just not done the same thing in your previous post by saying if not a saints supporter would be spurs, man city or Everton. All big clubs, why not Bournemouth, Reading or Watford. Agree with you on the Chelsea front
Enjoying the Spurs game, 1-0 keeps the spuds in it, but also rewards their weak line up with the deserved defeat. 2-0 as I speak.
Dribbling on about the team selection. Dortmund are a cracking team and Spuds have their best opportunity to win a title since 1964. They've also looked a bit knackered last couple of games. I can completely understand why Poch has rested a couple of players.
