I.e another CB and a LB/RB then you can see how much improvement we have made. Not many teams will give us the run around this time around. Plus you have Becchio & Somma out. Theres at least another 50 goals in that lineup even without the 2 top strikers.
I just think the defense looks miles better, i think get a LB in and the defense is sorted really. I dont like the look of mccormack as a lone striker
Are they both carrying injuries then? I agree with Josh, although McCormack can do the business when on form I would be nervous about him on his own up front to start with. The defence does look better and time will tell if that really is the case. Could be that SG has improved the back line and can push Leeds in the right direction again this season (I say again, as last season he did what he needed to do - stability in the Championship) I know many of you were annoyed you didn't make the top 6 but I have no doubt no one in the board room expected that to happen and SG can now build towards the promotion winning side

Yeah thats exactly why i think some people need to relax and actually realise were still in a much better position than last year. We lost 2 players who we all slated last season and a keeper who to be fair couldn't do the bread and butter. I think the formation that we played last night with Ross as the lone striker will probably be the line up against the saints. But as a 4-4-2. you just sit Nunez at the side of him.

Defence is no stronger than last season??? OBrien and Connolly are poor and were part of our dire defence last season. White is unproven at this level and Kisnorbo is short of game time atm. We'll miss Somma's goals this season, 12 in 15 is priceless
Connolly was one of our best players from last season. I think Larry described him as his constant 7/10, he never has a bad game. If you can't see that a centr-back pairing of AOB & Paddy is better than Collins & Nayls then you are either blind or delusional. Somma's goals were very useful but going without them will not ruin our chances.
