    Goalkeeper - tick
4 half decent centre backs - tick
Left Back - Perch has been moved and has been excellent there and links well with Hoilett - tick
(Did we all notice his cross for the first goal. It was Traore like))
Right back _ Ned does a job but room for improvement
Wingers - 2 classy players putting a real shift in now and seem to be using their heads a bit as well and not running into blind alleys - 1 handy sub on the bench keeping them on their toes
    Central mid
Ale being wrapped up and looking good when on the field - tick
    Luongo - growing - wip
Karlos - 10 established managers cannot be wrong - having a decent run of form - lets rethink this in the summer
Toszer - playing better than he was - lets rethink this in the summer
Cheri - wip - a star in the making - twice the speed of thought feet and pace of anyone around him. makes things happen but drifts out of games - make it a priority to keep hold of him and develop him
German strikers - always good value - they put a shift in - makes us all laugh with his humorous ways and makes things happen - keep going - not sure where the end game is though
English strikers - need time - keep the faith - Jamie go to till 5 please
    Team spirit - looks good
Team effort - looks good - Seeing Hoilett and Phillips track back together and make tackles in the 70 minute was a joy last night
Team fitness - looking visibly better
    Creativeness - improving
Make sure people stay on their toes and don't feel their place in the team is guaranteed - tick

The fans all said they wanted a boring season of mid table obscurity - tick

Jimmy's not doing too bad is he?

The writer of the above acknowledges he only goes to every home game and was not at MK last week

Alex Smithies has kept 5 clean sheets in 10 games and saved 2 penalties so far, amazing what can happen when you send a clown to the stands for the rest of the season.

It's clear to us all that Chery is a number 10, should never be played out wide.

Luongo will continue to improve and is our future in midfield

Connor Washington's speed and work rate should not be underestimated. He'll be an asset for this club when he's given an extended run.

Next season we should look to strengthen our defence, and buy some wingers assuming Hoillett and Phillips may not be with the club.

It all sounds tickety-boo. So why are we still 9 points adrift of the play-offs? Is this where we can blame Chris Ramsey for the below par start to the season? If I were JFH that would be my excuse.

It's all a tad confusing because at the start of the season the aim was mid table consolidation, then promotion was everything, then consolidate again......we're about the right place in the table for a transitional season.......we shouldn't be looking for excuses as to why we're not in the Play Off places, although in many ways we should be if you look at the players we kept........as I say it's a confusing season......

Now beat Brentford and Preston and who knows, 6th place becomes do-able, but lets not go there just yet......

Expectations were changed as soon as the summer window shut and we still had Austin, Phillips, Fer, Hoillett and Sandro.

Now we have offloaded Austin, Fer and Sandro expectations should revert to mid-table consolidation.

Hopefully Fer and Sandro will be made permanent where they are.
Note that we keep being linked with wingers Seems they expect Hoillett and Phillips to disappear at the end of the season.

Promotion through the playoffs this season would be a disaster.

If the team was promoted through play-offs this year, it would have been earned by young hungry players wanting to taste success at the top, and it would not necessarily be a disaster so long as any pre-Prem-season consolidation was done purchasing more young players and bringing them into the squad near the bottom or mid-squad seniority, rather than buying a few "past names" who strut about, are on the way out anyway and have real allegiance to the club

Promotion is unlikely to happen. I'm just looking for consistency in the team's apparently improving play and some good buys (and sales) between seasons

If Promotion is a "disaster" what would you call relegation?! Neither are at all likely, but I'd love a promotion. I want to see us play for one, which is very limited where I am and by the League the Club is in, and want to see us play at the top level where we can also develop. I'm sure our Owners would love it too - the Financial gains would be enormous and the Footbal League's FFP would be escaped again.

Anyone know what jfh's revord is with us now? Yes I'm being lazy. 9 points off the play offs it's certainly not inconceivable that we could sneak in, granted it's unlikely but this feels like a team that could ride that buzz if we were to make it.

We must be the most bipolar fans in the galaxy. After MK Dons we were in the basket case zone, a win against Derby and we are play off candidates. 4 days. After Brentford we'll either be chasing an automatic promotion slot or destined for the bottom 3. If it's a draw take your pick.

Small steps. If Hill and Faurlin made the difference we need younger, fitter like for like replacements in the summer, top priority.

We need CB's. We don't have the half decent 4 given in the OP. Angella is on loan, hopefully we can buy him, but that's no given. Clint has a hamstring problem now, and at 37, well 1 more season again maybe, but no guarantees. We have Ned really a RB and needed there now in any case, and Hall injured now. Need to strengthen with 2 at least in the summer, and may need a loan for the rest of this one unless there is a good youngster?

I like your style frome but we are not ready to go back up yet & would settle for another one or two seasons in championship.

Using your format...can I have a go at this SPB

Goalkeeper - tick...we have a goalie ans a spare, and a youngster too. Box well ticked
4 half decent centre backs - tick...Disagree...we have Hall, I hope we can get Angella......in my mind we have Hill, who is brilliant but 37 and Ned who is now number 4 in the pecking order.
Left Back - Perch has been moved and has been excellent there and links well with Hoilett - tick. Left back we have Perch and Robinson.
(Did we all notice his cross for the first goal. It was Traore like))
Right back _ Ned does a job but room for improvement.
We do not have a RB...unless Furlong comes back rejuvenated.
We have a number of players who can play there...(Ned, Perch, even Henry) but we do not have a RB

Wingers - 2 classy players putting a real shift in now and seem to be using their heads a bit as well and not running into blind alleys - 1 handy sub on the bench keeping them on their toes. Will we have Phillips or Hoillet in August...doubt it. Phillips will be sold...And Junior Will move for money
So we have a Nasser El-K

    Central mid
Ale being wrapped up and looking good when on the field - tick...Agreed but he is one tackle away from retirement
Luongo - growing - wip....possibly the new Ale
Karlos - 10 established managers cannot be wrong - having a decent run of form - lets rethink this in the summer...We need a DCM desperately...This position would be my prime summer target.
Toszer - playing better than he was - lets rethink this in the summer...He was got rid of from Watford as too slow in thought and foot...Good reserve...No more

Cheri - wip - a star in the making - twice the speed of thought feet and pace of anyone around him. makes things happen but drifts out of games - make it a priority to keep hold of him and develop him...Agreed, this is where JFH is going to earn his money...convincing Chery to stay for the promotion push...

German strikers - always good value - they put a shift in - makes us all laugh with his humorous ways and makes things happen - keep going - not sure where the end game is though.
Keep the BFG.....he will be a nuisance
We need a goal scoring machine...is it Conor I hope so...but not seen it yet (but has started slow in all his clubs)
We need another striker...a big one and a little one is not enough

English strikers - need time - keep the faith - Jamie go to till 5 please
Team spirit - looks good....Looks fragile but definitely improving
Team effort - looks good - Seeing Hoilett and Phillips track back together and make tackles in the 70 minute was a joy last night
    Team effort again fragile...but improving
Team fitness - looking visibly better...definitely improving..and will be better again next year, after a proper pre season
Creativeness - improving....improving with Luongo, Chery and El-K in the squad
Make sure people stay on their toes and don't feel their place in the team is guaranteed - tick
    Agreed

What you haven't mention though is an on field leader, a Clint Hill, a Shaun Derry...or dare I say it a Joey Barton.
It is not Ned...It might be Hall...

The fans all said they wanted a boring season of mid table obscurity - tick
Agreed...but I want a promotion push next season

Jimmy's not doing too bad is he? JFH is doing alright

The writer of the above acknowledges she only goes to every home game that we lose and not ones we win and was definitely at MK last week

Where does our Jamie fit in Beth? Inspirational leader? Goal scoring machine? 3rd reserve right back?
