Biggest game of your season is coming, them lot 'up the road' are in turmoil but a lot could change in 11 days. However, since none of the mags have bothered themselves to start a derby thread, as they have other issues on their mind, I thought I'd do it for you. I think it's also worth pointing out, that this will almost certainly be your last derby game in the Premier League until at least 2017/18. A win would officially give you guys 7 in a row and probably the best bragging rights of all time if the Toon go down and you stay up. A massive game, a win would be priceless and a loss would be terrible. Norwich will be praying for a draw.
I dare not say this but I am very confident of us winning more than ever before, we are due a clean sheet, have improved stacks in the last few weeks and don't play until the derby plus nearly a full team to pick from !. We need to get that Everton game played though soon.
Rumours doing the rounds on Twitter is that Rafa "The Fat Waiter" Benitez is waiting in the wings to take Steve-O-Mac's job. 1. Does that scare you for the derby? 2. Would he keep them up? 3. When will Rafa get sacked?
Tiote, Coloccini, Mbemba, Cisse, Townsend all due back before/for the derby for Newcastle. Cattermole and Lens due back for the derby for Sunderland, no return date for Eboue who's out with a knock (according to Physioroom). Looks like almost two fully fit sides to choose from - no excuses - well apart from Newcastle's goalkeeper who's out for a while, but he's not very good anyway.
We've already got bragging rights Tel. the 6 is a record and we've already sent the mags down achieving safety ourselves before. To combine sending them down with 7 in a row would be sweet. But the bragging rights are defiantly all ours already. ATM that is.
I've no problem with the mags signing any manager who's alien to a relegation dogfight. Pearson would scare me, he makes poor squads work, not Rafa, seems daft I know but Pearson scares me way more.
i couldn't believe this game could get more important but with relegation hanging over both clubs this could be a crazy game. I honestly think we could survive a defeat and still fight on but it would be the final nail in the coffin for the Mags probably. Like a guy above said I'd take a draw right now and move on. The 2 points dropped at Southampton would of made this game easier to handle!!!
Unpredictable as usual, we have been playing well and been creating loads of chances while scoring regularly. Newcastle have been poor to say the least but anything can happen in the derby. We are well overdue keeping a clean sheet and am hoping for a 0-1 scoreline with us scoring in the 93rd minute to make up for the Southampton game. Couldn't give a flying **** who scores but a Taylor own goal would be such fun lol.
Yeah of course but these are even better bragging rights. It'll be hard to use the 6 in a row thing to any advantage of you're in the Championship and they're still in the Premier League. As for the manager thing, nobody would surprise me, not Mourinho and not Ron Atkinson.
I honestly believe that Sam will go there to not get beat and maybe try to nick a goal late on. He should go and just get at them as they're ****e at the back and an early goal will see them crumble for sure. Expect a walk out if it happens, the geordie faithful will leave in their droves if we can sew the game up early on.
Borini, Defoe, Watmore (if fit), up and front 5 man midfield and 2 defenders, go for it against them.
Not sure about that mind. Just as likely to stay till the end for an abuse hurling session. Not sure the fans would even settle for draw especially if they lose to Leicester. I reckon they`ve got to win this one or there`ll be ructions.
I've been saying its since the second win of our tremendous and proud record run. I think they're due a win now, as ever I hope to be wrong. If we can get a early goal I think the crowd could turn, the team will **** themselves and the true Geordie will rise from the stands and skull **** a horse.
