<laugh> Dave, you're really p**sing me off <laugh> I've smoked cannabis since 1967, i smoke at least 20 ***s a day (since about 1960) and drink like a god-damn fish. I'm a pretty happy man, and some people on here won't live this long listening to all their do-gooder buddies.

P.S. You're not pi**ing mr off at all really. I'm just joshing. :emoticon-0148-yes:

    on the psychosis link:

A few years ago, I managed to find a published study which concluded that Cannabis could/can cause psychosis. Dont ask me to find the link to it now, it took me ages to find a published one and I am not doing it again.

I read said report, and was shocked. Why ? because of the mad quantities that the study was asking the test subjects to smoke. The test subjects were asked to smoke 30 joints a day, for a pretty long length of time - at least every day for a month, but might have been longer, I cant remember now. For those of you who have not smoked it before, that's a ****ing insane amount. While a student,I smoked it with a group of friends and we considered it a pretty heavy weekend night if we got through 20 joints shared between 5 to 7 of us -so 5 each. bearing in mind that we smoked it with tobacco so it was "cut".
In the study, it would have been pure cannabis, as mixing it with tobacco would have affected the conclusion and invalidated the results. Smoking 30 pure joints a day is like downing (at least) a bottle of vodka per day. No wonder they caused psychosis in the test subjects. Try downing a bottle of vodka a day for a month as see what effects you get.

Since I read that, I dont trust the reports about psychosis links. Any scientific report can be fudged to proved something, so unless you read the full report you cant trust anything - especially on such a controversial subject where personal/political agendas are highly likely to play a part.

it would be about self control if it were available to buy like alcohol, currently its not so you run the risk of having to go to street dealers........

Who dont know what strength or strain it is - can and probably will offer you more harder drugs - doesnt ask for ID - risk of getting mugged down some dark alley meeting said dealer - being sold product with glass shavings and all kinds to add weight.

it would be safer for both users and non users if the sale were regulated, controlled and taxed like alcohol.

pretty much any "stone aged, reefer madness" argument can be litterally blown out of the water with what we know nowadaya. in terms of pros vs cons on if cannabis should be available its a no brainer.

Big business and backhanders to government keep it illegal in the uk.

i know a group of four loft growers (pure cash croppers) 2 veg and two flower in 4 separate houses, they all have day jobs, 2 of them dont even smoke, not through lack of wanting to but due to drug testing at work and those two are airline engineers.

Just saying thats its a common myth weed smokers have no jobs.

Greed perhaps, opportunity definitely. i usd to work in a shop called growell in london, over the last few years ive seen "newbies" come in and order **** like 150 coco pots and all the lights and gear youd need to set up a full house grow (probably renting a house and nicking the leccy from next door types) these are the ****ers who who should have the book thrown at them. not joe bloggs who grows a small amount for personal use because he dont want to deal with 13yr old kids on peddle bikes selling him under a gram for a tenner.

an ounce goes for around £200/250 in london, the more up north you go the cheaper it gets £140 off some growers i know.

if you know what youre doing you can get 10 ounces per plant - you can get 10 plants in a 1.2m grow tent, so say £250 (per ounce) x 10 ounces = £2500 x 10 plants = 25,000, now thats just one man cropping every 12ish weeks.

Its a lot of ****ing money to be made. tax free, all cash. cant blame anyone looking to take advantage of that tbh. its not just big business who want to keep cannabis illegal, believe me 99% of dealers want it that way too for the reasons above.

I've quit smoking cigarettes , quit drinking and quit smoking pot and make my own dresses .
Always been amazed at the government pressure put on the public about smoking pot and the apparent mental reprecussions it carries with it , but tax alcohol and cigarettes to the hilt ...... things that can actually kill you .

    <yikes><doh><laugh>

Bet they did clinical trials on 'E' only to give them 30 pills as well. They'd be wondering why they managed to kill every trialist dead <laugh>

I have a about 5 spliffs a day. As I need really. Never suffered psychosis in my life. I'm more likely to experience it at the hands of my bi polar than I am weed. Weed 'can' give psychosis not 'Will' You're talking the wrong strain for the wrong person. More likely to get knocked over or to pick it up from smoking the chemicals added.

The following is a list of countries where Marijuana is legal or decriminalised.

    http://www.newhealthguide.org/Where-Is-Marijuana-Legal.html

    Argentina

Cannabis is legal for personal use and that too in small quantities and to be consumed in private locations. Consuming publically is usually accepted in young adults. Similarly consumption for medical reasons is accepted in private locations but it is not legislated. All other aspects are illegal and punishable by law.

    Australia

Illegal but decriminalized in certain states
Personal use is decriminalized in small quantities in some states such as South Australia, Australian Capital Territory, Western Australia and the Northern Territory.

    Belgium

Illegal but decriminalized for one female plant only

In Belgium, consumption in home and possessing quantities up to 3 g or a certain female plant is tolerated though not legal in adults.

    Brazil

The possession for personal use entails given a warning, community education. Selling and transportation of larger amounts is considered as drug trafficking.

    Canada

Illegal but legal for use in medicine
Illegal unless the plants are grown for medical purposes with a government issued license

    Colombia

    Illegal but decriminalized

Since the year 1994, possession of small quantities of cannabis up to 22 g has been decriminalized for personal use.

    Costa Rica

    Illegal but decriminalized

Though cannabis use is illegal, the tolerance of smoking marijuana is high in the entire country. Possession of small quantities for personal use has been decriminalized though no minimum amount has been specified.

    Czech Republic

    Illegal but decriminalized

Since April 1st2013, medical use on prescription is legal.

    Ecuador

    India

    Illegal/Legal(under the regulation of government)

Illegal/Legal (It is legal to sold in shops authorized by government)

It is utilized during the observance of some Hindu rituals. Though it is illegal to possess by law but the law is treated with low priority. Many states such as Tripura, West Bengal and North East has their own separate laws that allow cannabis which is locally known as ganja. Large tracts of marijuana grow unchecked in the wild parts of many states such as Tripura, West Bengal, Kerala etc.

    Iran

Regulated use is legal while unregulated use is illegal

It is legal to grow cannabis as the seeds of the plant are eaten by the locals. Moreover, companies draw oil from the seed, which is then sold legally.

    Mexico

    Illegal but decriminalized

Since August 2009, personal use and possession of up to 5 g of cannabis is decriminalized

    North Korea

The sale, growth and consumption of marijuana is legal and not regulated by the government of North Korea.

    Pakistan

Though laws exist inhibiting the sale and misuse of marijuana, still they are very rarely used. The use in community gatherings is tolerated considering it to be a centuries old custom. Moreover, in the wild, large tracts of marijuana grow unchecked.

    Switzerland

    Legal in certain Cantons

Since January 2012, growing of cannabis of up to 4 plants is allowed in some cantons.

    United States

Laws concerning marijuana vary by state.

    Spain

    Illegal but decriminalized

Growing of plant for personal use is legal.

    Uruguay

It is legal for personal use so personal possession is not penalized.

Bloody hell. £250? £200-£220 is the going rate round here

Me and my lady are getting into right into Micro-botany. Grafting. We grow all plants as we're keen horticulturists. We're working on grafting five plants into one. Not done it on a weed plant yet but successfully grafted three chill plants together last summer. disconnected two of the root systems and had complete success(made my own hot sauce). Going for the five chilli plants this summer and if I pull it off going to have a go on weed. five plants grafted together with one root system is legally one plant. Two of them in a grow tent would give ten plants with just 2 root systems. That's a grow set up that will get you well off the hook in regards to the law. ;)
