It will but I rather enjoyed the idea that, if we wished to do so, we could squeeze Scousers, Goons, mancs and chavs till the pips squeaked. Still, it's good news for those who are a little less childish.

Ticket prices down to £30, booking fees, printing tickets, postage up to £15. Maybe I am being cynical? :emoticon-0100-smile

I wonder if we'll see coach travel for £1 next season, as I assume it was paid for with the Premier League away fans subsidy, which now gets scrapped.

£30 is still expensive when other costs , such as travel are factored in .
Think £ 20 fairer ... In addition , away tickets should only be available to singing fans and those with sound bladders .

I hope that you are not being serious 1963!

My bladder is not quite what it was 40 years ago. My voice is now not robust enough to manage the odd shout or two these days, thanks to many years singing for the Horns at top volume at such places as Darlington, Southport, Barrow, Lowestoft, Cheltenham, Aldershot, Torquay, Wrexham etc.

Have I earned the right to sit next to you at away games without your severe criticism?

Only being serious about £20 per away ticket ..
If you can manage the occasional squeak , I think your weakening bladder can be excused . .. ( my bladder is also not what it used to be ) .
I don't do away games .. don't have the pennies and as a non season ticket holder is just about impossible to get away tickets for league games .

i still think £20 is plenty but it's a start. However, i've heard they might reduce allocation to make up for the shortfall, that'd be idiotic!

As it says in the article, it means that Villa and the other 2 that drop won't have to comply with that.
