Mrs H-F is a season ticket holder at Arsenal and she goes into Marylebone, down to Piccadilly Circus and out to Arsenal. There are a number of tube closures but that is after Kings Cross on Met Line and overground. This will still be our route. Easily achieved by alternative journey via Euston and Kings Cross (one stop or 10 minute walk) if you go from Hemel.

That's a great site, I use it all the time. Pie stall is about 20 yards from Arsenal station - turn right and cross the road, it's a garden gate!

Arsenal is easiest and best for the ground. Holloway Road shuts because it is a lift/stairs only station.

    https://reservations.arsenal.com/seat.html

We'll have blocks 20-24 Lower Tier, 116-123 Upper Tier. More or less. Follow the link and type in your seat numbers etc. for the view.
Thing to remember is that the prawn sandwich brigade are sited between the upper and lower tiers. A little shallow in the lower but nothing like palace. The back of the upper behind the goal is a long way back, but again - nothing like Newcastle.

Can't make the FA Cup as away with the family. Have however got a PL ticket for the Emirates on 2 April when there will be 3000 rather than 9000. Was supposed to be travelling down with two Gooners who live in my road (one has access to a couple of season tickets) but he's since said he may not go as their title challenge went off the boil after the Swansea defeat!

Does that count as leaving their season early? Hope they were considerate to other Gooners.

I have my softball end of season play-off at 3 on Sunday and with the journey up there and pre-match warm-up, I probably won't know until afterwards how the game has gone. The captain of the softball team I play for is a Gooner, so the drink we're going for as a team after the match will be more enjoyable for one of us.

i've been up there, it's horrid! But Newcastle is the highest, need binoculars at St James's Park to see who's playing!

That stand at Chelsea was given special dispensation to be built by the GLC as it is 1degree steeper than the angle at which vertigo is induced.
Newcastle is indeed too far away from the pitch to allow the human eye to watch the game properly, from anywhere in the away stand. The Emirates has about 5% of seats outside that sphere but is generally held to be one of the best of the new generation grounds.

Watford Liverpool Quarter -Final 1970 is currently on hornet player. Great to see the old players, superb nutmeg and cross from Ray Lugg for Barry Endean to score.

    Magical.

    All 9k?

Probably explains why there is no atmosphere at Arsenal...
