One of those days when I come home from work with a splitting headache, crash out on the sofa, wake up just before 11pm to find no life on Earth... not even on Not606.

I'm having pulled pork and chips. £1.99 at the lunchtime boozer. Comes in BBQ sauce. Very tasty.

I'm having a Covent Garden vegetable soup.

I'll season it and add some cooked chicken.

Very nice. (but only when seasoned)

    Merely ok.

They were on offer in Tesco so I snapped a couple up. The seasoning is ****e so you have to add a bit.

    Beyond that they're edible!

Not a big fan of the Covent Garden ones - I've always found them to be a bit watery.

Co-op has surprising good soups. Although given our town has four Co-ops and **** all other supermarkets, I may have forgotten what other soups taste like by now.

It's my son's 10th birthday today so we're going for an Italian meal. Fairly surreal to think that he's 10, where did that decade go...?! I'm immensely proud of him, he's a cracking lad.

My eldest is ten this May, ditto on the decade. I know it's a cliche but it absolutely flies by once you're handling kids!

The last ten years have been a blur, I can vividly recall most events of the preceding 30 though.

Just had the Friday morning hangover breakfast roll. Discovered this great Italian ale last night in Wetherspoons. Only the 6.2%. Very drinkable too, unfortunately.

The thing that scares me Chief is that we're well into the second half with him. In 8 years time we'll be celebrating his 18th and he'll be making plans to leave home. In three years time he'll be a teenager and he'll hate us. On the upside I have told my daughter that she has to stay at home and look after me until I croak. As she's seven she's agreed.

Same with my daughter!! She's only four but I have no doubt she'll look after me.

When she's fighting off scrotes in twenty years time I'll be knackered!! That is what scares me, when she start bringing lads round I'll be too old to scare the ****ers off.
