We've heard some right old pony excuses from our club and managers in recent years so to create a distraction from our current ills I thought I'd create a thread to discuss some of the funniest excuses in and out of sport we've ever come across. A recent one which jumps out of the Lescott one where he was getting grief on Twitter off fans so simply put up a picture of a top end car to rub their noses in it. He then went on to day the picture was accidentally sent from his phone whilst it was in his pocket.... hahahahahahha.
Why he doesnt say that all his defenders are **** and we bought striker thats too slow for premiership football is beyond me.
Sharapova is doing an awesome job at the moment, I am waiting for her to claim that she was taking the drug to combat global warming as she seems to have every other excuse apart from performance enhancement on the go.
Sharapova was amazing, claiming she started taking a non FDA approved drug for anti-iIschemia while being a professional athlete, ordered by her doctor 10 years ago. No, really, she's had a heart condition since she was 18? Poor girl. She basically shat on her own legacy by admiting shes been taking a dodgy enhancing sustance for a decade.
I have to say, I believe her story that they were incompetent in not realising it was recently banned, but I don't buy the story that she was taking it (prescribed in Latvia or Russia I think, not in the USA where she lives because they don't issue it there) for any other reason than to enhance her performance for the last 10 years.
I always think the extent to which I am willing to believe somebody's story has a direct correlation to how positive my answer to the question 'Would ya?' would be!
