How do you think the wider fan base would react?

More people would chuck it I think. Until they realise we are winning most weeks in the championship and then they will start coming back. I called time on the season ticket 2 years ago. Last season I went to the last couple of home games to lend vocal support because we were in the ****. This year they are on their own. I'm sick of the whole thing.

There will be walkouts. Charnley and his board are underestimating the hostility. This is worse than anything under Pardew [who I detest btw.]

I don't see what this has got to do with Obi.

I can see the 'boycotts' being brought back.

If he stays, yes, the boycott's will be back and I would imagine with far greater weight behind them.

For me, we'll go down with him in charge. This isn't a doom-mongering flippant comment, it's a near-certainty and almost entirely because the "board's" failure to deal with this situation has eroded whatever shred of authority Schteve had left.

They had one option, two at worst - sack him immediately to show they weren't prepared to tolerate monumental failure, or just announce they were going to support him as a collective til the bitter end, that he was doing good stuff, explain in detail what these things were and appeal to the human side. The only option we DIDN'T have was to dilly--dally and dither on a decision either way. In true Charnley fashion, if there's a "worse than worst" decision to be made, he's shown an incredible capacity to make that call.

I mean, what do you say now if you don't replace him? Just flat lies of "well, we didn't think there was any need to support Steve, he's the manager here and will remain that way, we believe in what he's doing"??
