What's wrong with you? I've don nowt to provoke you. You after a tennis match or something? Can't be arsed with you if you're going to be like this over nowt. I'm off, see you later.
Sorry. Never meant to confuse or offend. Was just the point refer... **** it, it wasn't even funny. What's everyone had for dinner/supper/tea whatever you Scottish folk call it!
Never been interested or had contact with cannabis/drugs in the past, but my biggest fear is for unborn kids whose parents smoke this stuff and the child gets a portion before it is born. If they don't get it there then passive absorption is next - not a good sign for future society.
Its already there http://www.naturalnews.com/036526_cannabinoids_breast_milk_THC.html https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endocannabinoid_system
Thanks for that, knew it was happening but making cannabis legal and therefor more available scares me into thinking that some mother's would pass it on to kids as "being good for them", or am I being unfair to moden day young mothers?
Not anymore than you would think a young mother would pass off drinking alcohol as being good for them. Making cannabis or any drug for that matter illegal only makes it more available to younger people, as i said earlier most under 16s in the uk couldnt walk into a bar or go the the off license and get served, but they all know someone who can get weed off some dealerif they aint getting it themselves.
Mother calls cannabis oil a ‘miracle drug’ for her son; Continues fight in Georgia Tuesday, March 8th 2016, 10:28 pm GMTTuesday, March 8th 2016, 10:28 pm GMT When Hawk was 3-years old, he suffered a brain hemorrhage, followed by a seizure, that led to a blood clot disorder, a feeding tube and vision impairment. But Hawk's life has been getting better thanks to cannabis oil Hawk has been taking three times a day for months. It started when Katie traveled to California to see what cannabis oil could do for her son. “We just saw instantly a huge difference, the light behind his eyes, his awareness of what else was in the room…and he could see other people and he was aware,” Harrison said. For Harrison, cannabis oil is a miracle. There is just one problem with this miracle. Access to this miracle is crime. Cannabis oil, or CBD, comes from cannabis plants which can’t legally be grown here in Georgia. But a bill in the Georgia house aims to expand the number of conditions that can be treated with cannabis oil, and it would have allowed more THC, the chemical in cannabis that can get you high, to be incorporated into medicine “THC (A) would be legal, which is the acid form of THC, before you heat it up and decarboxylase it. That's something that Hawk takes, so that would help us,” Harrison said. And the bill would have allowed cannabis oil to be cultivated here in Georgia. But while making its way through the Georgia house it was stripped down completely, making it tough for thousands of parents like Harrison to offer their kids relief. “It's just such a tiny piece of legislation when you do that, when you limit it so much, when you could be helping so much more. It seems like another cowardly act,” Harrison said. For Harrison, her hope now resides in stories like these. Stories that explain to people that CBD oil isn't kids smoking marijuana, but medicinal oil that is transforming children and adults who suffer from various conditions from epilepsy to cancer, and PTSD. Harrison has made it her mission to keep fighting and to educate people about the wonders of CBD oil. “As they hear Hawk's story…you sort of see their face change, like, ‘oh, ok when you explain it that way’ or ‘when you really break it down, I understand it better now,’ then they're more for it,” she said. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
I think this is one of those times when the people have made their decision and the law can 'get real' or become an ass. Today, cannabis is either widely used or legal - but it's widely used either way.
Firstly the medical bit. Heroin - which of course is a vile drug to abuse - is actually a medicine on the NHS! It's used as a painkiller in extreme cases. Of course it's not called heroin, it is prescribed under its medical name, diamorphine, and is strictly controlled. Sadly I know of a lad who died of a brain tumour in his 40s, and his lass (a mate of mine) had to administer him with diamorphine AKA heroin near the end. FFS if something like heroin can have medicinal properties, it stands to reason that cannabis can! As for the recreational properties, cannabis, although certainly not harmless, is nothing compared to alcohol and tobacco. Figures from the BBC website through the Lancet. Tobacco causes 34,000 times more deaths than cannabis FFS! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sn/tvradio/programmes/horizon/broadband/tx/drugs/survey/
Yes, spot on, here the law is an ass. A relatively harmless drug (cannabis) is illegal. A much worse drug, alcohol, which BTW killed my brother and at at least two people who I was once mates with, is OK, and tobacco, which kills half of its long term users including my dad is alright too. BTW, I like a pint or ten, and have been boozing this evening, I'm not being moralistic, I know I'm ****ing my body up, just pointing out the government hypocrisy. Agree with Bri and others upthread that cannabis should be legal.
Joining in this thread a bit late I know. Never use the stuff personally. I know plenty who have for many years and they`re certainly not addled. I also know some who have treated alcohol with disrespect and they are wrecked beyond repair. The words `sensible` and `moderation` spring to mind but I honestly don`t know how anything other than self restraint can prevail. Struggling to get my point across here but isn`t it about self control?
