You don't know what you've got, until its gone. Thats the thing isn't it. They might get on your wick sometimes but its better than a few. We listen to
If you ever have to spend anytime listening to other stations, our commentary team are like a breath of fresh air. Local radio is being phased out and replaced by network programmes. It has happened with some programmes like late night talk shows. You never appreciate what you have until its gone.
Theres a few on this forum that hate Burnsy n Swanny but i think they're just super serious humourless types personally. Theyd rather listen to the oppositions local commentary that will put a biased slant on it. At least Burnsy and Swanny tell it as it is.
I don't think you ever miss anything though. He could describe every tippy tappy pass but what's the point? He'll always interrupt Swan's rubbish if something develops on the pitch.
I do listen to other local stations when given a chance and it's usually a proper commentary compared to ours, but like someone else said Burnsy does better when they have another pundit so the answer for me would be to sack his mate . I don't usually take things all that seriously as anybody on here reading my rubbish will know but this is one thing that gets on my nerves, if you can't see the match you want a proper description and analysis of whats going on not a load of lazy banter.
We miss a lot of stuff, that's based on listening to other stations after listening to our own, usually when I've had enough and turned over. The banter is fine before the game and after and in-between but not during for me, it's about the only thing I take seriously
The question i suppose is without local coverage, how would we get to hear what`s going on if you can`t get to the game. For me Burns` and Swanny do a decent enough job, especially after having listened to five live coverage of us in the past, they`re so southern and big club biased it`s ridiculous.
I don't particularly like nor dislike Burnsy and I preferred it when there was commentary on KCFM, but what I do like is exclusive commentary on a Hull City game. If it were only on a national station then it would just get lost among all the other games.
A bit back, I had a foreign feed on for games, so tuned the radio in to Burns commentary. It may as well have been a different game he was talking about. Interesting stuff happening on the pitch, and they were just prattling. That's even allowing some leeway for them being slightly out of sync. I get the impression they'll have improved a bit since, but they needed to.
I hope fat **** Burns loses his job. His wife leaves him and takes any money he's got and he's a penniless beggar living at Sally Army.
