he's obviously not the worst manager of all time, far from it as he won loads, but you could put forward an argument to say that Mourinho's management of a Chelsea this season ranks up there with some of the worst management in PL history
It definitely was one of the worst case of wheels coming off. I noticed the ladydoctor wants a verbal apology from Mourinho himself, i hope he is man enough to do it and also admit that he acted like a complete prat, with repercussions on his job
Not even close. Shearer had very little to work with but credit to him for trying. SAF would not have been able to save that Newcastle team.
Their squad was at least twice as good as ours that season, I still can't believe they managed to get themselves relegated, but now they seem intent on repeating the whole exercise.
You don't get credit for trying, otherwise Remi Garde would be one of the all time great. He took Newcastle down with a talented squad, a squad better than ours really. He was **** and what's funnier is he's their idol.
It was that fact alone that made Shearer take the job on. I give Shearer credit for taking on what was in effect the ""HMS Titanic"" of a team. Yes on paper they were better but the history books say otherwise. btw,, we won twice @ Sid James Park that season and drew both home games. Owen missed a sitter @ the KC in one game.
Right. But he still took a good Newcastle side down. They didn't even try to keep him on for the Championship.
I woudn't count stop-gap managers like Shearer or Dowie, it's fairer to choose those who perfected a longer-term ****-up methodolgy and carried it out..
