Yes, here I guess the "Tall Poppy Syndrome" will cut in but there are periods of 2-4 years been spoken of here. There is no doubt in my mind that should she receive a ban of any sort she will announce her retirement.
But it's not a scandal, or what she did before January wasn't anyway. Whether the drugs company say someone shouldn't be taking it for 10 years isn't a sports issue, that's a health issue. Before January she acted entirely within the governing body's rules. The Vicks synex was a banned substance hence he was stripped. They didn't change the rules and then strip him of his title.

She hasn't used an excuse. She's admitted full blame and accepts all punishment. She simply said she didn't know it by the other name.

I never mentioned that. All I said was that her explanation / excuse was / is pathetic nevermind dubious. She should know at all times what is going into her body and if it is allowed. It will be interesting to see what happens next.
