http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/bbc...ns.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter BBC considering major changes to local radio and 5 Live. Breakfast and Drive time to remain in local hands but that's it. The rest of the day/evening would be national coverage. What would happen to local sports coverage ?
Technology has eroded the value of local radio. It'll disappear with the last of the Baby Boomers, IMO.
I think local sports coverage is pretty bloody important. Despite many knocking Burnsy - I like him and his punditry. He's a welcome voice if I can't get to games.
I dont know. You listen to Radio 2,3,4 and 5 and its all pretty high brow stuff. They wont be much affected i bet.
When I'm at home he is like an old pair of slippers to me. Easy listening .. He can be annoying sometimes but I like him. There I'v said it.
My problem with him is that he doesn't describe the action properly and thats what I want to hear, if I want to listen to merry banter I will tune in to Talksport but Hull City is my team and I don't want to hear him on about his nights out and all the other irrelevant stuff he comes out with during the match
His morning show is decent enough when i've listened, always seems to be some good project going on for the area and you can't knock that
