AFFAIRE D'HONNEUR & SUPERB STORY in the Imperial Cup & the county hurdle

My friend has shares in both of these & told me last week that they are bypassing Cheltenham with Affaire as they fancy the Imperial Cup much more as they know he will win it comfortably.

With regards to Superb Story this horse is highly regarded and thought of as a machine by Skelton and the County has been the aim all season.

The price for Alfaire from when i got it earlier at 8s has already gone so take the 6s quick as it's going to be smashed up, same with Superb next week. I saw Sticks post but can confirm they are not planning on Affaire for the County after he wins the Imperial.

Yeh Superb will get in comfortably Nass. I've text him asking about Cheltenham for Affaire if he wins Imperial Cup and he said highly unlikely, if we do decide to run it will just be a potshot at bonus money but can't see it getting near Superb, he's our top horse

 

Nicholls quoted as saying Modus probably won't get in and he is further up the handicap.

Put Affaire up on here earlier when he was 8/1.
Your mate might be confident but I do not see SUPERB STORY getting in his race, needs too many to come out in my opinion.
Certainly hope the first one wins well as have a decent bet on it at 8's.

Superb Story needs 28 to come out of the race to get a run. Looking down the list of those above him in the ratings there are a number with multiple entries over the next ten days so whilst I still think it is doubtful that he will get in, it is not beyond the realms of possibility. If he does get in off this mark he will be carrying a very low weight.

Also if he is IN the race so will be WAIT FOR ME.

At least if Affaire D'Honeur wins the double would not be lost if Superb Story was to be balloted out. Could be very exciting if the first one wins and obviously I wish your friend well with this plot, what a lucky man to have two horses this good.
