Yes and players are contracted to win games within the rules, which we did.

I have read them- which is why I'm answering the way I am. Are you suggesting that I could only disagree with you because I don't understand the situation?
For the record- I don't think it was a definite ( I won't use the idiotic and inappropriate word "stonewall") penalty.
I think it was a 50/50- sometimes you get 'em- sometimes you don't.
My issue is with the label "embarrassing" aimed at people whose honest opinions differ from one's own.

  7. And the embarrassing was aimed at those claiming it was a stone wall penalty. Something you just inadvertently labelled idiotic yourself.

    50:50 I accept

  9. Exactly. Benteke clearly chooses not to use the leg after feeling the brushing contact <laugh>

...and Tobes hasn't even got here yet....he'll be in a cheery mood I'm sure. @Tobes #barreloflaughs

I used the word stonewall and I stand by it (genuinely). For me, in today's game that is as clear a penalty as I can imagine. Defender slides in, makes enough contact to disrupt Benteke's run (and prevents him firing the ball high into row Z). Clear penalty.

Really the ref probably should have sent the defender off for being stupid enough to think he needed to tackle Benteke in the first place.

It's a complete grammatical dog's dinner, even after the corrections.
The use of "you" renders the "bar Bow and I" inappropriate- because bar means excepting and you can't except yourself from a group you're not included in in the first place.
And it should be "me", not "I".
But there again, my grasp of English is so poor, I might be completely wrong.

  12. And that's where I disagree. The defender doesn't stop Benteke using his left leg, Christian just choose not to use it.

Nah. The word is idiotic because it's an incorrect usage. "Stonewall" means a stubborn defensive or rearguard action and is just completely misused in this context. Of course I know that people mean definite in this situation.
    An opinion they're entitled to.

See my last point. It's only me being a grammar queen again. I fully accept that you see it as a clear penalty, and that Greez doesn't.
I think it was a pen, but one that could easily have been denied -hence the 50/50.
    Imo.

  17. I always though the stonewall in "stonewall penalty" was just symbolising something obvious. A stonewall is as obvious a object as you will see <laugh>

Getting Greez to go to bed with no dinner is an impossible task, even Saint can't manage that one!
