It wasn't stonewall, it was a great call by the linesman to spot it and make the legally correct and morally right decision.
Tries to pull out but still trips him; aka Mata phytochemical stops Fletcher from doing what he intended #difference
Lucaas is right. But even so, Benteke goes down when there's no need and wins a penalty, according to you, but there's no criticism implicit in that statement?
No. It deserves debate I agree but as a genuine opinion (and it is my genuine opinion) it doesn't deserve criticism. There are certain posters on here I'd never accuse of wearing red tinted specs.......and I'm one of them
Can clearly see your specs are clear tinted in the pic IT's just your hat and coat that are red tinted.
Saint says it was a pen... he's the voice of wisdom on this board, so I think that pretty much sums up that debate
Are you sure? Judging by this photo from last years not606 Christmas party you do wear red tinted specs... please log in to view this image
Although I disagree on it being a penalty, I'll happily accept others thinking it was. It was the "stone wall" claims that I found to be ridiculous. My normal stance on these things is; the defender shouldn't have dived him and given the referee (or lino) a decision to make. That is what I'd be saying if I were a Palace fan, I wouldn't be moaning about Benteke. I've not criticised Benteke once in this discussion. He was right to do what he did. Why not do it when so many others are getting away with it? Still doesn't make it a legitimate penalty shout though (imo of course)
