Che Adams at Sheffield Utd might be worth an approach. Very talented attacking mid who just so happened to make his professional debut in a match we'd probably like to forget.

Shane Duffy at Blackburn might also be worth a punt if we need CB depth. Key component of a sneakily good defense being undermined by Blackburn's complete inability to do anything at the other end.

Perfect scenario, Chelsea win the CL and Spurs finish 4th but don't get CL football next year because you are only allowed 4 teams in it (please tell me they still do that and haven't changed the rules since the last time it happened )

That is a horrible and wicked thought. Give me the magicians again from Barcelona and enjoy the unique skill level of their entire team because when this one breaks up you are not going to see a team this good for another 20 years. And let's hope Spurs win the EL if Athletic don't!

No longer works that way, I'm afraid. Countries can now have a maximum of five teams, if one wins CL or Europey while failing to qualify through the league.

Now, if Chelsea won CL and Man U won EL, while neither finished top four, that would be sufficient to bump the fourth-placed team. But the odds of that are about 1 in a million.

Yes, they won't win it this season, though stranger things have happened. Except Chelsea don't have that cockroach-like resilience at the moment. Since can't-remember-who promised to parachute down naked on a rabid dog, these threats/promises have lost their credibility. For the good in some cases - I certainly hope Gary Lineker won't be wearing Alan Shearer's wife's bra on MOTD next season, for example, or presenting it naked, as per his original promise, should Leicester win the league!

Though I wouldn't change the result for anything, it's annoying for two reasons - 1. it reminds us how average our season has been when West Brom are now two points behind us, and potentially could finish next weekend above us; and 2. had we not fallen apart over the last few fixtures, we'd be well placed to capitalise on that.

He exaggerated the contact, a very weak call for a penalty, but the ref gave it, so what more is there to say. Be well miffed if that was against us.

I haven't seen it, however I have heard three different media outlets describe it as dubious.

I wouldn't. He was clipped. Had to be a penalty.

Watch the leg it doesn't touch, it turns to jelly. I'm not trying to change your view mind, you are far too much a ref for that. <ok>

Anywhere else on the pitch, that's a definite free kick. It's a foul.

His knee clearly made contact with Benteke's foot as he slid in.

Eh? Yes he did. He slid in, missed him initially but caught him in his follow through. Stonewall penalty.
