Like Luis's ludicrously disallowed header in the last seconds against yous at the Freak End a few years back? We reacted well.
You were all tamping lol......or I mean err the Canibal was miles offside lol Stevie me running the full length of the pitch to celebrate lol....His legs went after that...
What to say after that ... other than ... THAT'S HOW YOU WIN A GAME WHEN YOU'RE DOWN TO 10 MEN YOU BITTER BITTER MANC ****ERS ... GET IN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAhahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah ... See you on Thursday you bunch of mega-****s !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am always happy when an official makes a correct call I think linesmen have the hardest job in football, they have to be level with the most advanced attacker at all times whilst seeing when a pass is struck 60 yards away. Yes they make bad calls, but they also make some great calls too.
You can dress it up how you like. You can quote rules until your hearts content. You can try to justify it any and every possible way. It still want a penalty. We got lucky, twice (keeper kicked it straight to firmino for the first)
In the end who gives a ****, there are dodgy decisions in games every week and there'll continue to be until robots built by Sony and Honda are officiation every pro game, would that be better? who the **** knows ... **** happens, these guys are only human beings ... yeah we'd be screaming disgrace and blue murder if it was the other way around, as it is it's gone in our favour this time and it's hilarious (especially since it's that great guy Pardew whose back it's got up) so just appreciate it for what it is because it won't be long till we're on the end of one and all the bitters and haters should shut the **** up and exit through the side door as that's football sometimes ultimately
No point in discussing it with someone that's only willing to go by words rather than how a game is played. It's like the typical lawyer approach; twist the words or find a loop hole to make your vote point stick. The contract didn't even move his foot to the side ffs, he just decided not to move it anymore. I find people trying to defend these things as bad as the diving ****s we see in the game; contact or not! Most discussing this are wearing their red tinted glasses. Had it been Palace that got that penalty you'd be going ape ****. Me? I prefer to call it as I see it irrelevant of who's favour it was in.
You can dress it up how you like. It was still more of a penalty than many given either against us or in favour of our competitors. Once the penalties given without contact are eliminated from the game, and the penalties for fouls outside the box are eliminated from the game, and the officials finally decide to apply the same offside rule both inside and outside Manchester, then you can start worrying about penalties where there was actual contact but you aren't sure how much contact to a professional footballer's ankle is needed to put them off.
