    Pardew is a strange manager.

He does get it right for periods and his teams look good.

But then they have a dip and he just really struggles to get them going again - even before our luck today they were 11 without a win.

Trouble Newcastle have is that they have traded in an inconsistent manager for an out and out **** one.

The Acid test here is just a slightly different scenario...........

This afternoons game is in its dying seconds and Palace are in possession. The ball is played to Dwight Gayle in the channel, and he enters the
area running at Lovren. Lovren goes to challenge but realises at the last second he is not going to make it. He pulls out of the tackle but cannot
prevent himself from clipping Gayle's heel, and the striker goes down.

What do you say Mr. Pardew, penalty or no penalty? <whistle>

Exactly, in a footballing sense sliding into someone running at speed with no chance of getting the ball is careless and reckless. Can't believe anyone would dispute that.

    Yes ours was a gift...

If either Liverpool or Everton had that given against us its fair to say we would both be fuming <cheers>

Conceding ground in a different argument to strengthen your current argument. Predictable.

No problem with you admitting yours was a gift. Unarguable. Ours wasn't though. As Poll said "Brilliant' decision by the lino.

I look forward to your reaction when a similar decision is given against you <laugh> That was one of the softest pen decisions I've ever seen

Sometimes. Sometimes not. He's right this time though, and had we had TV refs like in rugby or American Football then they would have given that decision too.

Well we had a pen against W Brom given against us by Oliver last season that was two yards outside the box, but it was only just worse than that decision Besic got yesterday.

Not really, if someone on our team is stupid enough to slide in on a player going pretty much nowhere in the last few seconds of the game and clips the attacking player then we deserve everything that goes against us and the anger should be directed at the player that made the brainless decision to slide in.

Of course, 6 different camera views and slow mo makes it much easier to be right., I prefer real time living people (even when they get it wrong sometimes). Otherwise we may as well let a computer in the press box be the ref.

So you must be happy that a real time, living linesman called a correct decision that was vefified by different camera views and slow-mo? <diva>
