The good period at Newcastle was strange. Carr (scout) got a lot of praise too but he's been lambasted since.
Not as much a gift as your one yeaterday. It was inside the box and benteke was fouled - you didn't see his knee contact Benteke's foot?
In short: it was a penalty but you shouldn't have given it against us in the last seconds at home when it's just the word of the (correct) linesman.
Firstly I didn't criticise Benteskey. Nor did I moan, I simply said it wasn't a penalty. However... My understanding of a foul was another player physically preventing you from doing what you wanted to do. That didn't happen to Benteke. Did he dive? No, he exaggerated contact. Is it cheating? IMO yes! Do other players do it? Yes! Should our players do it if others are doing it? Absolutely! Should all players be punished for such acts? Definitely but that's for FIFA, UEFA and the FA to sort.
And Poll says it was a 'brilliant' decision too. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...e-penalty-win-Reds-James-Milner-sent-off.html Mind you, Stan hasn't seen it but reckons Benteke should be banned for five games for cheating, so that evens that one out.
Mike Parry, bitter blueshite and talksport presenter, claimed it was the worst act of simulation in the history of football, there was no contact and called for a life ban.
We played better without James Milner? certainly our performance with 10 men deserved at least a point. Really pleased that we won though, especially for Klopp after that interview about Palace
How can you punish someone if you have no idea whether there was enough contact to send them down? Plus the rules actually don't actually say that there has to be contact: A direct free kick is awarded to the opposing team if a player commits any of the following seven offences in a manner considered by the referee to be careless, reckless or using excessive force: kicks or attempts to kick an opponent trips or attempts to trip an opponent
So, when somebody falls and their knee brushes the heel of an opponent would you class that as....Careless, reckless or using excessive force?
Ah, there you are.Diego. Careless and reckless, and he didn't 'fall', he slid uncontrolled along the turf.
