Yea I really feel welcome here! Nevermind I shall just be a panto villain from now on in! In fact it spurs me on to post more here in this selective little club of a forum.

 

As long as you don't resort to personal abuse you'll be welcome on here. Just remember that while we are a fairly diverse bunch on here, we are all Saints fans. We all get a bit more sensitive to adverse comments when the team hasn't played well.

 

Yes, best to save all your criticism for when we win 5-0.

I didn't mean you to feel that I'd "gone for you" in anyway. I do get defensive when posters who drop in now and then appear to only do visit when things are going bad. It did feel like that with you and that is why I asked. I didn't think you'd react the way you did and I wasn't looking for a rise. If you go back to the postings, it started with me having a general dig at what I felt was lots of negative postings from regular posters; you will read that it was not replying to you but aimed generally.

I apologise again if you were offended. I don't post abuse at individuals. I've had lots of little rucks with people but it always ends in a virtual handshake. We should do the same and move on. We're both grown-ups and coincidently the same age!

We do need varied opinions on here and it would be good if you carried on posting. Hopefully we'll go on a good run and you'll be joining in, posting your opinion on who will be the best player during that run or something similar.

Sorry everybody but I don't feel I deserve the backlash I have received on this forum recently. I called a regular poster on here a prick and in hindsight I shouldn't have
I did have my reasons though but it was still unacceptable.
I feel that my posts are not abusive aggressive nor intended to wind people up but I have been misquoted often and judgements about myself have been made without any basis in the truth. I am not a keyboard warrior, a wrongun or a wum. I feel there is a hierarchy on this forum of established regular posters that are allowed to dish whatever they feel out, without consequence. Basically being told to leave the forum and that I wasn't welcome here is hard to swallow on what is supposed to be a free and open platform.

I agree you don't deserve the backlash of today. You just need to not post personal abuse, that's all.

 

This forum must be the perfect basis for a post graduate thesis into the human psych! I rarely visit the site after a defeat (or a draw with a team we previously thought we should beat) because of the doom and gloom that suddenly blooms. I prefer to keep my heartfelt sorrow to myself and look forward to the redemption when we win the next match. Strangely enough it's the same squad of players that went 6 games undefeated as lost a couple later on. Gingerly, I ventured a look today, would there be some insightful thoughts on where we could improve? Um, I've only gone back 10 pages and I'm losing the will to breathe! COYR!!!!!! Stoke away! followed by Liverpool at home! AND THEN LEICESTER AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!! GET SOME RED AND WHITE BLOOD FLOWING TO YOUR HEART!

 

and my predictions for the next 3 matches (and everyone who plays the prediction game knows my skills are legendary):

Stoke 3-4 Saints (possibly the most exciting football game ever!)
Saints 0-4 Liverpool (possibly the longest debate on not606 about why we should bring back Alan Pardew)
Leicester 0-0 Saints (open top bus booked because we didn't lose to the Champions)

I would like to reply to your post. I only comment on games I have actually seen from start to finish, I spend a lot of time outside of the country working ergo I don't get to see the majority of games and only see them in highlights. It's been purely coincidence that I have posted again after a what can't be denied was a below par performance. So please stop jumping to conclusions about reveling in it when times are bad or some such nonsense. Sorry buddy but I don't really drink so won't be coming for a pint, I tend just to stick to crack cocaine, whores and yogurt.
