I was impressed with a number of players:
Ake played so well out of position and was imposing all over the pitch.
Holebas played very well at times but also made some basic errors
    Prodl for me a stalwart.
Capoue looking more and more like a class player
Amrabat a mixed bag... a strong and aristic player on the ball but the odd bad move and giving the ball away... I am sure he will improve in the team

Gomes of course another steady game

Apparently he is a full back / centre back. So the ease with which he slotted into that position maybe should not be a surprise.

The one thing I would say about Amrabat last night was the amount of holding he had to put up with. The fullback got a yellow eventually, but this did not happen until quite late on. I thought he was unlucky to get a yellow for diving and I'm sure this affected him when he was caught in the penalty area in the second half. I also think he is trying TOO hard (if you get my drift).

Bournemouth at home to Swansea next weekend. With us in FA Cup action, I wouldn't bet against them being above us this time next week.

I'm very much afraid that they are playing much better than we are currently. Yes our defence is more solid than theirs, but they are producing goals from all over. We are not.

However, I would much rather be in our overall club position.

Well they have started to score goals whereas we've stopped - simply the difference.

It hasn't gone unnoticed that Jurado not playing seems to coincide with the goal drought but to be honest, for too many games Jurado was played out of position and was fairly ineffectual, but when he was played behind the strikers in the centre he was fab! Hope he comes back soon, anyone know when?

Aged but they have 5 home games Swans,Man c,Liv, Che,WBA i only see them winning 2 of them and there 4 away Spurs, Villa, Everton, Man u so im projecting that they will get 12 Pts putting them on 47 for us to get 47 we need 3 wins and a draw We should do that ? And i win just under 200 if we do LOL

A very frustrating afternoon, we just did not match their speed, strength or desire to win the ball and the result was fairly predictable - Flores needs another plan to get us scoring.
But what really pissed me off was some of our "supporters" - leaving with 10 minutes of normal time left? That is just ridiculous. If they need to leave early at a home game, then I cannot see many bothering to make the trip to the quarter finals at the week-end...they do not deserve this club.

looks very bad on the box ..I suspect many are season ticket holders who go home early , passionless folk who just go through the motions , turning up for a regular moan , contributing nothing positive to the atmosphere within the ground ...it also really bugs me .
Would like to see such pathetic "supporters"...lose their access / priviledge to "cheap" seats .. ( nowt like upsetting folk on a Monday morning ) ..
Forget the vast amounts of money going into the premier league , football is slowly dying in this country .
We need to get more local kids / teenagers from ordinary backgrounds into the ground ,these are the supporters of the future . I imagine some of you will argue this point , but they simply cannot afford the entry fee . So many traditional fans have been priced out ...This was certainly true for me when I was bringing up my family .
Look around the ground ...the age profile is rising year on year (hands up I'm joining the ranks of greying slapheads ) ,foreign tourists to be seen lining the front seats viewing games through their cameras , grinning joyfully and those 'orrible corporate Champaign Charlies and associated dolly birds , who in all likelihood have zero interest in Watford FC or football in general .

How about this for a suggestion . In this world of mega TV revenue . Singing fans who positively support their team , whatever the score , should be given free access to games .
Football without vocal supporters is nothing .

Whilst I fully agree with the sentiments 1963, I think your generalisations are not necessarily aimed correctly. ST holders do not have a privilege to cheap seats, they have paid their money for years and at £40 - £50 a month, I don't believe it's that expensive - a couple of trips to the Cinema a month would work out not much cheaper. There have always been people leaving early, but on Saturday it just seemed to be a lot more - although nothing compared to OT in the week. At away games there is a big mix of ages, not just us grey hairs and it certainly costs a lot more to travel away.

As a grey-haired slap head is it okay for us to leave on 89 minutes? my wife hates being caught up in the crush walking up occupation road. Maybe she should be left at home ironing my underpants?

Season ticket holders occupy the best seats in the ground and pay around £20 odd per game ..while more casual fans pay £36 £42 for often crap view seats ...views made worse by those who leave their seats early for half time refreshments and because they cant be arsed to watch the final 10-15 minutes of a game .
I was a season ticket holder as a teenager / early 20s ...then moves out of the area , work and family commitments meant that I got on with life away from the Vic .
Genuinely admire long term supporters loyalty and do not begrudge your discounted " cheap " seats .... ( £20 is still a lot of money to see your team lose ) .
Supporters who add to a positive atmosphere within the ground are fantastic ....be they 8 or 80 years of age .
Those who constantly moan , leave early and never sing are a disappointment ....Watford does have a lot of these supporters , especially within the Graham Taylor Stand .
My partner works in a very busy General hospital ...and currently involved with the "bed blocking " issue .... They are sick patients not " bed blockers " .
To my warped mind, I see negative , moaning supporters who leave early as Watford's "bed blockers" ... i.e passionless folk , almost zombies who occupy good seats to the exclusion of potential new and more vocal supporters .
Please be assured , this comment is not aimed at elderly supporters ....just those supporters who contribute nothing to a positive atmosphere within the ground ...these folk can be any age and from any social class . It just seems most appear to be middle class and middle aged ( ie the same social demographic as myself ) .

The atmosphere in the EJ stand is actually quite good, for an old fart I join in with the singing quite a bit especially when accompanied with my youngest daughter. Our players need to give us a bit more goalmouth action to raise the heat a bit.

Good for you ..I pin a virtual star to your chest ....we need more of your sort dear boy .
Our side needs our positive support ...they are up against big money sides week in week out . Leicester are top of supposedly the best league in the world ...and they did not dominate our 'umble little club

I forgot to add that the benefit of taking my wife is that she has undertaken intensive training so she is able to ensure that the half time drinks are ready shortly after the whistle blows.
