Anyone watched the first episode of Stag on BBC2. Very dark and funny, available on Iplayer, 2nd episode Saturday 9pm, BBC2. Bit League of Gentleman type humour
I know right? Men hate looking at women! / Haven't seen trailer... Probably won't watch unless it appears on Netflix.
yeah thought it was a bit ****, well plain **** actually ... read the synopsis and it promised much but thought it was a big let down, not arsed abut seeing the next part
Thought it was watchable, but not brilliant, with a few funny moments. I'll give it another go as it might be a slowburner and improve.
If you weren't around when it was first released it's understandable. I can still watch it today and find it enjoyable bcos it evokes that original buzz the film had when it was released. It was very much a new idea and something that captured the world's imagination/excitment at the time. From the characters, script, soundtrack, actors involved and most importantly the original premise... which was novel at the time. Two films that particular year iirc had a similar effect.. Ghostbusters and then Gremlins.
please log in to view this image oh yes... Ferris Bueller, Breakfast Club, Planes Trains Automobiles, Weird Science (kelly le brock btw ) Think he lost it in the 90's though. Hughes, John Landis, Rob Reiner, Robert Zemeckis defined the 80's teen cinema phenomenon. Great great films!!
Went on a mission to record every film when it came on TV ...then my sky box died so had to start again lol
By the way...finally got round to Spectre...nice nod to On Her Majesty's Secret Service (a much maligned bond film because of the seventies camp but great sound track..decent story and great stunts) Bit Flabby but some great bits. Thought Waltz was too Bardem.. And C was too stereotypical Tory Boy. The most "Bond" of Craig's films. Skyfall still his best.
Close call between Skyfall and Casino ... Skyfall has the more complete story, Casino has the energy of a brand new Bond ****ing bad guy **** up
agreed Skyfall is the best one hes done. Watched gods of egypt last night, nothing amazing or original but worth a watch if ya bored i suppose ps. and im almost through season 4 of TWD, whoever said it was pants was pretty much on the money, i trust it picks up again in season 5?
