Remember, this is top of the league Leicester who I'd say shaded it with a great strike. Agreed we weren't great and we are obviously poor in front of goal at the moment, but let's keep behind the boys, keep plugging away, and we'll get some goals soon.

Sooner or later we will start to find the net again. We created chances on Wednesday and again today. The problem arises when you don't create any.

We are missing Ighalo's goals - bit of a reality check as we are probably not as good as many would like to think.

Last time a Watford player scored at the Vic? 23rd January (against Newcastle). Didn't look like scoring if we'd carried on for another (insert number) hours!!!!

Pretty clueless across the board really, the only positive for me was I thought Ake looked good at centre back. Gave the ball away repeatedly and finished by lumping it (badly).

Poor performance really - spent most of the game almost being caught out by Leicester's effective tactics and style of play.

Too many loose passes and lack of quality in the final 3rd.

A moment of class won the game but even that came from our mistakes.

Agree with the above posts but.... for how well we played on Wednesday we lost because we couldn't score & today definately not the best of performances against a team who looked like they had a couple of gears to go into if needed but did not have to after they scored as it was obvious we were weak in front of goal and Scmeichal was not really troubled by us.

What was the most disappointing aspect of our game for me was the fact that Watson had a real off day with the free kicks. Schmeichel does not like leaving his line and if we had used those chances more to put pressure on their defence, things could have been different.

Paul Merson was saying that Newcastle's team today were a disgrace to the shirt, the game and their families. The one thing we can say about our team is they are none of that and, on the whole, they have made us proud.

We probably need one point to stay up and I suspect most would have jumped at that. And we have a quarter final to look forward to. It is not great at the minute but it could be way worse. I also think we will improve as the newbies get more in tune with it - I thought Amrabat played ok and should get better.

I think it is difficult when you go out onto the pitch and lose a centre half in the warm up - any player come to that - it messes up the coaches plan and the mind set of the players. Rarely do we here of teams winning in such circumstances.

Secondly, and let's not best about the bush here: Leicester City are a very, very, good side and deservedly top of the league. Apart from Arsenal's ten minutes of genius I don't think any other team had beaten us fair and square over 90minutes without the aid of a dodgy dive or offside going against us nor where our entire team has failed to turn up or where we've been set up specifically to contain the opposition.

Okay Watson had an off day and as such that starved us a bit up front, particularly from set pieces, but it's a bit harsh to lay it on him.

Leicester scored from the one really clear cut effort our makeshift defence switched off for -but that was all it took. Did we look like scoring? Nope, not this side of Easter as others have said.

All in all I think a top of the table team beat a mid table team fair and square. Yup our lack of goals are a problem but it's not like we're conceding 2, 3, 4 every week. Freefall? Hardly. That's my take anyway.

Just what was the difference between us and the league leaders apart from one quality strike? Not a great deal I would have thought. Britos and Cathcart were both missing against a team that has been scoring with ease. It is easy to see what could have been done better, but that comes down to individuals. I thought that our two new arrivals were both starting to show signs of what we can look forward to, and the partnership up front although not hitting the target enough did create plenty of problems. Not enough to get too disappointed over and with a few lower league teams to play yet hope of better to finish off the season with.

Today was very fine margins, all of your efforts went straight at Schmeichel and Mahrez produced abit of magic.

If you carrying on how you are then you will turn the corner sooner rather then later

I think i see a different game to some people. Yes, we played Leicester, and they're top of the league..but Spurs should be if we base it on quality of performances. They are by far the best side in the league. We had a player change, and Watson was definitely off his game and up until Christmas Ighalo would have scored his chances yesterday and on Wednesday, we need help up front. But especially in the first half, the sides were very even and until the goal it was looking like another 0-0, simply because we can't score atm. Once they scored, they weren't going to get another, so overall we did ok but should have had a point, bar a defensive mistake. Amrabat i love. He makes things very tricky, he's exceptionally quick and his work rate is immense. Definitely deserved his MoM. However, back in August we couldn't find the net. We were playing well for weeks and not scoring. Whatever we did back then to change it, we need to do again. That, coupled with speeding things up in midfield, and we're back on track. We will get another few points this season and that will see us over the line, limply. I just really hope we finish above Bournemouth coz i'd feel pig sick if we don't! There, i've said it! lol.

The one thing i didn't get yesterday...we're struggling up front and we bring on a sub striker with 3 minutes to go. And we bring on Abdi, who has been amazing but isn't anymore. How was that ever going to change things? Oh, and taking off Suarez? He was finally having a good game! Flores really needs to rethink his strategy imo...way too defensive, has been all season, we really need have a go at teams and not wait for them to attack.

I'm still reasonably happy and will look back on this season with warm positive feelings .
We have played 3 good teams in Bournemouth , Man .Utd and Leicester and more or less matched them . The 2 goals conceded have been real quality .
The owners need to buy wisely for next season . I hope we go into the next campaign with 4 proven goal scorers , would be happy with Deeney and Ighalo plus 2 who are ideally better . We also need to buy at least 2 attack minded midfielders , would be nice to add another winger or 2 . So far really liking Amrabat .
With all the big money sloshing around , a manager of Flores experience and the Pozzos knowledge / scouting network .. I fully expect to see an entire squad of players capable of slotting into the first team and performing to the desired level . I also imagine yet another big churn of first team players . We have a good squad , but if we are to remain a Premier league side it really still needs significant bolstering ... our "reserves " / under 21s also need to be stronger ..beating all the non prem sides they face ...I fully expect this to happen as the club grows .

I love the way that Leicester attacked. Reminded me of how we used to break quickly under Zola. Someone at the game yesterday (half) joked that if the famous Deeney goal were to unfold with the current team/management, Anya would take the ball down...then play it backwards. That sums up this team. When it works, it looks good. When it doesn't, we look clueless. However, that's QSF's style. I felt after the game that I'd rather have lost 0-3 going for it, than 0-1 so limply.

That said, yes OBVIOUSLY I'm still happy that we are looking like being safe.

I suggest that it is increasingly obvious that QSF does not have sufficient confidence in our attack to "go for it" against most teams. For all his talk about telepathic communication between Deeney and Ighalo he still sets his teams up not to lose. When we look good going forward it is against teams who are poor in defence i.e. those toward the bottom (or Man U). With Ighalo not scoring he is even more reluctant to commit too much to attack. With higher quality players in the pipeline he will change his mindset.

Just listened to the FTRE boys on the latest podcast. Surprised they didn't mention the Britos/Ake change which should have disrupted us but didn't really. Also, they, nor anyone here has mentioned Jurado. Is there any coincidence the goals have dried up since he's been away? Just a thought...

The thought re Jurado had crossed my mind , but I just don't rate him . He might have qualities that my dim witted mind cannot recognise , but like many others I have spotted his many weaknesses / failings . He occupies a vital position , there must be better players than him out there .

Britos, Cathcart, Ekstrand, Hoban all injured to some extent. Thank goodness Ake is still available.
