Now that I can't get to the Southampton game on this day due to work commitments, I will definitely be going to see these who are playing The Point in Sunderland that night...I have heard some great things about these lasses for a long time now..
Im undecided as to whether it was decent or really ****ing cringeworthy. I wanted it to be good, but swaying towards the latter.
As I say, I have never saw them live, and this was the only thing I could find on the Internet...I will let you know what they were like after I have saw them...I have had some excellent reports on them from some very critical mates who are not easily pleased..
They do seem to bastardise music, but are pretty easy on the eye, and do try and cover some good songs. Actually listening to all them songs, it will be a cracking night.
Once I have had a few beers and shorts down the neck i'm capable of anything on the dance floor...Or at least I think I am..
The warm up band were gash..I haven't got a clue who they were but it was basically a very pretty blonde lass who couldn't sing for toffee and two transvestites on the guitars.. As for the Sexed Pissed Dolls...They were alright...The lead singer had a great stage presence and new how to get the crowd on board..The whole band were certainly eye candy and were decent musicians as well.. However, what did piss me off was the amount of people who wanted to film them rather than just enjoying the show..I did eventually tell one lad who stood right in front of our lass to get a better view with his mobile phone to **** off.. All in all I would say that I have saw some local bands who do the same stuff a lot better than these, but it was still a show worth watching and I didn't feel robbed from the £12 that thet were charging for the tickets..
I should add that there were some right weirdos in the crowd who I think must be their regular followers..For example there was one bloke wearing a blonde wig and make up and was carrying a doll with red flashing eyes..They certainly added to the spectacle..
i didnt get there mate . it clashed with my mates 50th birthday bash. glad to hear you had a good time.
