They could just put the marble mount up and leave it without an actual statue....with the plaque underneath saying "I didn't see it"

Well, its not over yet afterall ahead of us are not seasoned title challenging veterans like Scholes,Giggs,Rooney's United or Terry,Lampard,Drogba's chelsea but rather Leicester City and Tottenham..so we might still end up winning the title and then Arsene will definitely get a final 3 year extension atleast.

Question should be - does the club have a future with Arsene?

Regardless, he will get a 3 or 4 year extension after he does the unthinkable 3rd spot.

I'd vote to give him the job for life on £2mill a month just to up the odds on some on here having an aneurysm. Even if it means we drop to the bottom of the league. :p

If Leicester win if I would love to hear Wenger answer the question "why?". "Why did Leicester win it and you didn't? Where did you fail? Why weren't you good enough? Why were they better?". I would honestly be curious to say what he'd say.

...though he would probably say Vardy and Mahrez weren't injured at all the entire season and that's why Leicester won it

We need to remember AW has, as far as we know, the support of the board and the majority shareholder Stan Kroenke. They seem content to accept the situation over recent years.
His position seems secure until he decides to go. Shame there is not a greater ambition.

Only one statue could do him justice, stood behind the dug-out at Old Trafford with his arms spread after being sent off. He became a legend to me that day <ok>

You won the FA cup the last 2 seasons and have a good go at the CL every year I don't see the problem .
Getting rid of Wenger for not being able to beat Barca seems a bit foolish.
I could still see Arsenal catching Leicester .

A good go at the CL? False.

Wanting to get rid of Wenger JUST because he can't beat Barca? False.

    Otherwise quality post.

I think most Arsenal fans are sick and tired of just making up the numbers in the CL. Far from having a "good go."

Arsenal are in the top 8 best sides maybe top 4 on their day but I don't think there are players as good as Ronaldo Messi & Suarez available no matter who is in charge .
They will almost certainly have a player sent off or give away a pen again next game against Barca and crash out after yet another plucky display .

A good go at the CL? We have lost 6 times in a row, yes, 6 times in a row, in the first leg of the last 16. We have also gone out of the UCL in the last 16, 5 times in a row now, and it's 99% going to be 6 times in a row come next week. How is that having a go?

In 20 years Wenger has taken us to only one final in the UCL, and one semi final in 2009, a semi final btw in which we got utterly humiliated in by United.

That's hardly what I'd term as 'having a go' at the UCL.

Plus, nobody said we should get rid of Wenger for failing to beat Barca, it's a whole host of things, like constant bottle jobs every time we go for the title, no progress in Europe, we don't look any closer to winning than we did 10 years ago, heck we have regressed in that competition.

The fact that Piskie liked your comment says it all, he's the type of fan who is content with this rubbish, for him getting top 4 and the odd cup after a decade, and making it into Europe for 18 years in a row is good enough for him, like Wenger, he has no real major ambitions, and that's what holds this club back.

Piskie is already licking his lips for the prospects of a top 4 fight, that's what it's all about for him, that's what gets him so excited, fighting and securing for top 4, like Wenger, he thinks it's a trophy. If we get top 4, he'll be on about 19 years in a row now! Another good season, give Wenger another summer.

It shows how facts don't go with his arguments. I don't get why he liked the point about us 'having a good go at the UCL', that's just blatantly false, and yet he liked it, the man is utterly delusional, or he's plain up resorted to lying to himself.
