Both teams desperate for the win. We play to the whistle here at Norwich and we certainly look the more likely!

I must say, though a loss it sounds like a good performance from the lads tonight and every bit helps with the build up for fitness etc... Look into this result just as much as the others in my eyes!

Final score C Palace 1-0 Norwich City

    Nathaniel pinney 87min

Results don't mean too much in pre season (remember the run up to the league one campaign) and palace are a bit of a booggey team

Sounds like a good performance from the tweets

You should see some palace fans on twitter.

I think we will find out more as games go on, thursday we shall see different line up and tactic against southend and then again saturday against coventry. Sounds as if we bossed the game for huge amounts but the tinkering about with the team was there for all to see...

Absolutely. It would have been nice to win but it doesn't really matter.

Disappointing to lose after being on top for so long, but now we'll see how the new signings react to a defeat, and I'd rather our first defeat be in a friendly so we can get any errors sorted out before the Premier league starts. The football season is a marathon, not a sprint, remember Colchester 2 years ago, and look what's happened since!

Lol palace 'innit. Don't know why I thought we'd win in hindsight. Bogey team of all time. Luckily, don't have to worry about that this season!

The lads are tired, they've been worked hard in Germany. Performance looked good I've heard. Everything's cool

As for palace fans jumping for joy, need to get a grip don't they lol fackin cockernay sparras!

Performance was good, cautious but they will be mega sharp in a week! Pinkun guys are amazing. I thought they were being sarcastic, but they genuinely are saying they are disappointed

Have they ever done preseason before? Are they aware of what happens?

I think bad results in pre season can be a good thing, means we can identify are probably and play around with things. Gives us things to improve.

Back from the game and there were a couple of things to improve upon. First work out for the defence, good to see Barnett back couple of dodgy touches but won all of his headers, Ritchie de Laet looks like a very good player. Going forward in the first half we looked pretty toothless, when Hoolahan and Surman came on they looked different class compared to some of the others, adeyemi and korey smith didn't reallly look like getting near the first team. Attacking in the second half we looked far more likely to score with Morrison, Bennett and Hoolahan combining well, considering the possession we had it was not a bad run out but maybe time to start only using the players that have a chance of premiership football

So another defeat at Selhurst Park, perhaps not a surprise but still a disappointment. Hopefully with a tougher game under their belt, PL will have seen what further work needs to be done and has time to iron out some more wrinkles <ok>

Well said Thai, that is, after all, the whole purpose of pre-season friendlies!
