Sunderland seem to have more momentum than Newcastle or Norwich at the moment. Hope Norwich can pull themselves together, but they've been properly crap of late.
I can't remember who it was, but in January after Newcastle had signed Shelvey et al they said they'd easily pull clear of relegation - might have been OLM. Frankly they look appalling, I don't think we capitulated like that in our relegation season. They look in really poor shape. Bournemouth carved through them at will, even McClaren had put that down as a must win game.
Villa are that bad it's not even worth mentioning them, they're so ****ed. Even though they have more points, I think they might be on par with that 11pt Derby team of 07/08.
Villa have given up Norwich aren't good enough Newcastle not playing for Mclaren They look like the 3 to go IMO - Allardyce has got some decent performances out of Sunlan recently
what a pass that was from Shelvey for their goal. I'd get Shelvey in for us next season when we pass each other.
Shelvey is the only one looking half decent for The Mags atm. The rest of the squad are an absolute train wreck. The mood around here's dreadful. I'm lovin' it.
I like Mclaren, old boy an all that. But it doesnt look good. Them Norwich n Villa all look doomed. Which is good as Sunland are always good for 4 or 6 points for us
It's been a horror show from Newcastle. On paper they're stronger than Sunderland and Norwich, but the mentality from the players (and leadership from the manager) just isn't there - they've been heartless. They've missed Cisse, and Sissoko (who should be their best player) has gone awol on the pitch the last few months. Whoever buys him will be taking a big gamble. If we go up and they go down, I'd be interested in Perez at the right price. Shelvey maybe, although the price might be a bit steep.
It's a funny old game isn't it? People who were giving me grief when we were relegated and Newcastle survived last season - only because Villa forgot to turn up at Sid James Park on the last day - are now saying they wish we'd stayed up and they'd been relegated, 'cos now they'd be about to be promoted back again. Or something. I just maintain an enigmatic silence. Or espouse a pithy maxim or haiku, whilst waving a dismissive hand.
Spent more in January than any other club on the planet. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spor...castle-uniteds-285m-january-splurges-10801772 Signing a defender might have been a good move however.
A linesman has a tough job when there's a penalty: he has to check whether the keeper has left his line early, and, er, that's it. please log in to view this image
[QUOTE="Ernie Shackleton,The mood around here's dreadful[/QUOTE] Imagine how bad it would be if they had just dropped from 1st to 3rd in the league after losing to a fortunate deflected goal despite dominating the game. Hitting the woodwork twice, having a stone wall penalty denied by an incompetant ref, having a goal bound effort deflected over the bar at the last & numerous efforts going astray or being blocked & saved would be enough to have some of the ****s on here placed on suicide watch. Even the ones who pretend to go would be feeling cheated.
Merson was scathing about the Newcastle fans yesterday, said they were booing Schteve after nineteen minutes, when he subbed a player (seemingly oblivious to the fact that the player was injured) and continued to boo and moan all game.
I've seen it a lot. I just hope you bringing it up doesnt mean Greegsy will get pulled up for it. As they deffo need to clamp down on it.
