Thing is Pops people have the right to complain. Why must report equal ban? Reporting is just flagging a comment after all. Take Bart. In the last 10 days every single one of his posts has been abusive, every single one. People pick up on it. You've had reports, and I was asked if I wanted him banned, I said no. But that doesn't mean it can't be dealt with. Has a mod had a word with Bart? If so let the people who've reported him or having problems with it know, add bit of transparency so folk know it's got your attention and your life will become so much easier. Communication Pops, people are going to get upset, you can't change that, it is going to happen. But if you are communicating, showing a bit of transparency attempting to defuse and showing yourself to do so all the mods will get their quite life. Do nowt or flex the ban muscle it's just going to snowball as folk get hacked off. Gordon is bloke I like, who had an argument on a thread, the was then followed around the board getting repeatedly abused. He didn't like that like and it's fair play for him not to. It should have ended on the thread it started. To give Gordon a bit of protection I've gone for Bart so now he goes for me and leaves Gordon alone. I shouldn't have to do this when mods can message bart, have a word and let Gordon know it's sorted. Done, quiet life achieved. imo it's all about communication and transparency and I think there isn't enough of it. It's something that will make your life easier more than anything. Nowt against you mods, got a lot of time for you all and don't take it as a personal attack as I think you're all top fellas but as mods, ****bombs will come at you, unavoidable it's the nature of the beast. You can defuse them or let them blow up but they're coming,
As far as I'm concerned the report button doesn't exist. No matter what somebody said or sent to me or how pissed off I got it wouldn't occur to me to report anybody. Fair enough sometimes people feel they have to use it when somebody breaks the rules, if that's how they feel, but it should be an absolute last, last resort.
I`ve read your post through 3 times Bri and I really can`t argue with any of it. The point is that there was going to be a slanging match. I changed the direction of the thread from a slanging match to a tennis match. I changed it from animosity to fun. Whether it was you enjoying yourself ripping Bart a new one (and our esteemed viewers thoroughly enjoying following proceedings) or whether it was Barts return of serve is irrelevant. I tried my ****ing best to keep it entertaining. I tried my ****ing best to keep it interesting. I tried my ****ing best to keep fun. Still not good enough? Still reported? Still a ban required? For me? Still pissed off. Tried my ****ing best mate. Still not good enough.

I know mate and I'm not surprised. I can see that your natural goodwill and patience is being stretched beyond what it should be. All I can suggest is that if people are demanding things from you that you don't agree with then just let them know you don't agree and then don't get involved any further. Don't drive yourself mad over it mate it's not like you're being paid to do it.
