That's why every one of our teams are scraping along without barely a win between them. Coaching top to bottom is useless.
Disagree completely! Most of the players have been here under numerous managers and yet it is the coaching set up that is wrong despite comings and goings in that area. Almost all players that have worked with SM have said what an excellent coach he is, players under Cathro have said the same. But it is them that is wrong and not our group of lazy, ****ty, can;t be motivated to play for NUFC, can't pass a ball 5 yards forward, can't defend, can't attack, can't cross the ball, can't head the ball, heads down, can't run ****wits of players. I'm sure there are a couple trying (see Janmaat) but the majority of our players are not good enough. We have bought quite a few younger players and they need time but Saylor, Colo, Dummett, Sissoko, Colback, Tiote, Cisse, Gouffran, Riviere are just not good enough and are draining the life out of the rest. So we have 2 defenders (Mbemba injured though) 3 midfielders and 1 striker that are PL quality. The rest can **** off and I hope they do (not including Saviet, Mitrovic, Doumbia)
Perhaps a career in politics may better suit his 'talents'. Remaining up-beat, being completely deluded and burying his head in metaphoric sand. Prime Minister?
They just need to get him gone at least to stimulate some kind of a reaction from the players and also the fans. The atmosphere in the stadium if the status quo remains is enough to take us down on its own.
?????? I think stats would dictate he's NOT an excellent coach, regardless of what the players think of him! One of England's worst ever managers, total failure at Wolfsburg, Forest, Derby and now us, how can anyone call this "excellent"? As for blaming the players, well it's his job to get them playing - they CAN be motivated, but if he's so useless and inept that they no longer believe in him, organise their own training sessions etc, then that's just indicative of what a useless coach he is. The key to be a decent manager and taking no **** from players, getting them on your side and getting rid of any unrest and uprisings, but if he's so useless and pathetic that he can't get the players showing any effort, he's failed as a manager on the most basic level.
Look up the differences between coach and manager! As for the players...... they haven't done it at this club for any of our managers and not just SM! Sissoko has already been found out and everyone knows he only plays when we are on tv. Tiote has had 4/5 good games in the last few years, same with Colo, same with Dummett, same with pretty much all our players except the newer ones.
I'd have left him in Spain when we went on that training camp...he could blow the balls up or something
