Is the difference between good players and very good players. Very good players keep their form a hell of a lot more.

My personal opinion, which has been formed over the whole season, but put on the back burner due to our six-game win streak is that Koeman is struggling big-time to get the best out of this squad. I see a lot of talent being wasted.
But then, we won six games in a row. It's so frustrating - there hasn't been a Saints team as inconsistent as this in my lifetime, so I really don't know what to think.
FLT, you've been supporting saints longer than I have, and if you're happy still, then I'll choose to be happy as well :)

Ossie, I didn't say I was happy, I just didn't get the massive misery on here when I got in from the game. Maybe it was because of my expectations of the game before I went.

We weren't great, but we weren't ****e really. ISIRTP said it best when he said we played like a mid table team, which is below what we have achieved at times this season and they played like a mid table team which is better than most their games. They have beaten United and drawn away to Liverpool recently too as they fight for their lives.

    Sometimes desperation can up performance.

Neghead? Purely coincidence that I'm here after 3 losses - Rather be me than you mate? Wind your f*cking neck back in mate! Just ignore my comments if it upsets you so much - Don't start your posts "Miserable bastards, negative bla bla bla" and not expect a response.

Like FLT, my expectations were low today and this game almost failed to reach them. Yes, there is a point when I wonder why I've driven bleedin' miles to watch this. But will I be back for the next game? Does the Pope have a balcony?

Still, I'm allowed a moment of saying "it was ****e today"! Because, let's face it, it wasn't great. One bright spot. I scored 40 points on the family predictor as I went for a 1-1 draw. Thought my bloody son was going to get it as he tipped a 0-1! Git.

Were we that bad today? We could have easily been 3-0 up at HT.

To me it was a relatively decent performance, but with out-of-form forwards and playing up against a Big Sam ten-men-behind-the-ball team. Pelle and, in the second half, Mane were a bit better today, but not much. Not vintage Saints, but not awful either.

Davis has retreated back to his usual average self, which is disappointing. Replacing him with someone who can get an extra 5 - 8 goals a season remains a vitally important task for us, in my view.

I'm beginning to give up hope of being able to retain VVD this summer. Like Toby last season, he's easily good enough to play for one of the big boys.

I don't get this sell, sell discussion, we have 9 games to go before we even think about any form of trade, much could happen before seasons end which may change opinions. Like that player that is banging goals in for Boro, he might be worth a contract if he keeps improving, funny old game isn't it?

    Touchy are we?

No need to wind anything in St K, I am very chilled thanks.

I just wish you were here to post and discuss things when the sun is shining. Any reason why you don't? Just a question.

Oh and by the way, it doesn't upset me it makes me laugh!

    Enjoy your evening :)

Speaking of Hesketh, I'd have thought him or Sam Gallagher would have been better shouts as a sub today (not that Olomola didn't deserve to be in the bench, but they have more first team experience!). Must be a kick in the teeth for them.

The difference is that Toby was never ours and Virgil is on the first year of a long contract. No way we'll sell him this summer.

I agree there is absolutely no way we will sell VVD after 1 year of a 5 year contract. It's no different to Mane and Wanyama he'll be told no. That's if he even wanted to go which we have no idea about.

Anyway in the end I was relieved to get a point today. We always struggle against Allardyce so it was no surprise how the game went today. He knows what he's doing whether we like him or not.

Kick in the teeth I don't think so, Sam has been on a bad run, kick up the arse maybe. If there is one young striker that we have that is built to take the rough treatment from a fat Sam team then it's Olomola, def not Hesketh
