Do you stream matches onto your PC at home - it's no more legal or illegal than that.......they'll try to shut some of the links down, but more appear all the time

Have you got a keyboard up on the screen Col? If yes there is a little button next to the directional buttons with an arrow on it - click that and it turns into an on screen cursor, use the directional buttons to navigate to the right letters and click OK. It's laborious and time consuming. Thought you had a keyboard remote?

    No I didn't order one.
I've got it all set up now.
Any chance you could explain how to find BT sports from the home screen? I can't find the bastard!

This is where it gets a bit irritating, but you only need to do it once. The Kodi is just a streaming platform, now you have to populate it, which is a bit fiddly. For sports try the process in the link, after you open up the Kodi app.

The box already has sport devil installed.
I've gone onto that and found all the tv sports channels. None seem to want to work.
I'm beginning to think that the title of this thread may be correct.
Not long now before the thing gets projected out of the window!

I have this picture of you sitting on the sofa getting increasingly wound up Col. To be honest I got a bit pissed off with it on Thursday, but plan to start from scratch again today, with patience. I did get the sports channels working though, so it does work, it was the movies that were killing me!

How did you get the sports channels to work?
I've tried sports devil - sports tv - all sport - BT sports (ace) - acestream-p2p streams addon
The engine takes around 40 seconds to start and then it says "torrent not available or invalid".
What did you use to get the sports channels to work?

I think it was through Castaway. I also loaded an engine called the Beast which is like a refined version of Kodi which sits on top of it, makes this stuff easier but also a couple of things about it were irritating, so I took it off, which is why I have to start again. Have to say the Mac version was much more straightforward.

Well I'm guessing it's identical but seems odd that Amazon happily sell these boxes so I wondered if anything was different.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I've just watched a stream of the Spurs v Arsenal game on BT Sport. The picture wasn't great and the sound was a bit behind, but it was ok. and the stream remained steady (until BT themselves managed to pull the plug in injury time!).
It seems to me that, in order to get the actual Sport channels, one needs to do a lot of knowledgeable downloading, with a reasonable knowledge of how to handle the internet and computers.
I wouldn't recommend anyone buy these types of boxes unless they have a good knowledge of the internet, downloading and what is legal/not legal or how to get around the laws.
The stream I watched was about the same as I've watched on the laptop, however, the stream did remain steady, which it doesn't usually. We have a pretty crap broadband service, which I'm sure doesn't help.

I'll certainly use the streaming option on the box for future games on BT that I want to watch, but apart from that it will sit switched off. I couldn't get any of the film apps etc to work either.

Not disappointed at all Col, glad you got a bit of it to work. Today has been full on if Inhave the energy I'll have another go tonight, if I find any good shortcuts for decent quality stuff I'll let you know.
Why would that be an advantage? If it's on telly anywhere in the world there's a chance you'll see it.
