The way this season has gone, it is reasonable to think we will never have a better chance of winning the PL. Unless we have an almighty collapse in the run in, then I cannot see us finishing below 3rd, so it's a "no deal" for me.
Football is about winning games not deals. I want Spurs to go for it whatever the outcome. We will aim so high..............................you know the rest. Glory remember not bloody 3rd.
Difficult, Spurs have dropped 5 points this week, when most of us thought gaining 4 points between Arsenal and West Ham would have been a good result. Spurs still have some tough games approaching. I've lost some confidence but no, I wouldn't deal at 3rd place. Spurs hit the nail on the head - let's hope Spurs give it their best shot and play for honour.
Man up ladies! We get 3 points @ Villa and things will look a bit brighter. Following w/e there's a Manchester derby. Arsenal go to Everton and Chelsea play the Spammers. We have to beat Bournemouth @ home. Leicester go to high-flying Palace Provided we don't start losing to anyone and their dog(we won't) all will be fine. Get a grip of yourselves!!
Our very much un-Spursy GD may yet prove crucial. We need big wins against Villa and B'mouth to push it clear of the +30 mark. It's by far the best in the top 4 and makes a mockery of anyone in the chasing pack. So I tend to look at the 6 point gap to West Ham as effectively 7 points. I can't see Leicester dropping points in either of their next two games whilst as Brian has noted, the other teams in the top 6 have some tricky fixtures to navigate before the break. Let's not forget Arsenal have a really tricky game at Hull this evening - hopefully one of our many secret agents there will break Sanchez' leg. It is crucial that we win the next two, and win them convincingly, and things will look a lot rosier the other side of the break. With Jan and Clinton set to return then, we'll be in good shape to turn this into a two horse title race. And our horse is a f*cking beauty.
Boom or bust for me. I won't deal until we totally go flat or don't get 6 points in next 2. Even then I won't deal...I'm used to 5th..another season so long as we bust a gut..and I'll accept it. Not giving up yet. If we were 5 points clear...we would not be partying yet. Long way to go.
3rd place it is - but it turned out to be particularly unambitious. I don't want to open any f***ing boxes at the moment. But come May, I want to be going for the big amount on The Chase rather than taking the minus offer just to get back.
Saturday April 29th 2017, save the date in your diary. On this day, Spurs will beat Arsenal at White Har Lane to mathematically secure the league and simultaneously make top 4 impossible for Arsene Wenger's barmy army. You heard it here first.
3rd. Would accept 4th though. 2 seasons in a row in the CL is progress. Cautiously optimistic for higher if our young team can learn from last season.
