apologies for the hasty match thread - but I'm doing it on a train heading out of London, dipping in and out of Internet connection.

Usually a game we look forward to - we have failed to sell out. Those going on the day, beware a price increase. Also one of the pubs on the corner is now closed and think fans are meeting in the griffin.

Prediction wise - do I need to bother? They e lost 4 in the last 5. Make that 4 in the last 6.

    1-0 Brentford.

Seems to be the most popular result with fans. We exchange 3-0's with Brentford - today is meant to be our turn. I don't see it.

Where is Hendo? Doesn't look good for anybody who thought he would still be with us in L1

A free header from a corner, as usual.

Interesting that Lookman didn't play at all again.

Something is going on there surely?

Murray was behind that. Seems to gain a tad more power with every week that passes.

Our CEO's first public utterance for yonks was that she was "thrilled" that Lookman had signed a new contract. Thrilled at what, that it meant a bigger transfer fee?

What a GREAT day out yesterday <cheers>

I always enjoy a trip to Griffin Park, and with our league form combined with Brentford's new stadium, sadly this looks like being the last one. A pub on each corner of the ground, with the Griffin packed with Charlton fans. No sign of Sue Cotton-Parkes on the team bus this week, although the team and Jose Riga decanted to a positive reception from those waiting.

We were all pinching ourselves when Harriott scored in the first min, although Brentford quickly got on top as the half progressed. Sitting above the goal we were defending gave a good vantage point to the weaknesses in our defending, and sure enough Brentford scored with a pathetic free header from yet another set piece - JBG clearly culpable for 'losing his man' and greeting the stick from his team mates with a nonchalant shrug. Not a care in the world, he will be gone soon.

Brentford really should have gone on to score more goals, and just when our end [1,175] started to call for Lookman, a lovely mistake right in front of us by ex- stopper David Button saw Harriott score again. Well done to little Calum, he seems to have added a bit of composure to his finishing.

The last 20 mins seemed like an eternity as we hung on for dear life, with a break at the end seeing the Albino Donkey known affectionately as "Mak", hit the bar.

At full time the whole team and Riga came over, Sanogo did a break dance in front of our fans, and threw his shirt it. We celebrated deliriously as if we had just won the Champions League. It felt GREAT to actually leave an away ground happy - the first time in ages.

The train from Brentford to Waterloo was packed with ecstatic Charlton fans, and Waterloo station provided excellent acoustics when the train pulled in, as we all got off singing.....

    <whistle> "Hey Roland.......I wanna knooooooooow.......why your such a c*nt" <whistle>

    The noise was brilliant <cheers>

I couldn't have been bothered to even follow it, and holy **** we won. On the upside, I had a lovely day out in Canterbury.

Also booked the first showing of Batman vs. Superman... Whoop!
