It was well-known that Modric would leave the club, so that wasn't unexpected. What we were all saying, at that time, is that no way would Levy sell him to Chelsea, which turned out to be correct. As regards Bale, we all knew he would leave eventually, but few of us thought it would be so quickly, myself included (as you well know). Losing players has never bothered me. Look at the players we've lost, and look where we are! Times change, and we've learned to adapt, as a club, to changing times. Arsenal have got all of this to come, and will be extremely ill-prepared for it, in my view. I don't think you should use it as an excuse to keep hold of Wenger, as he is slowly dragging your club down, but I do think that the likes of IQ87 are in for a very nasty and rude awakening in the first couple of seasons, when he does eventually go.
Im implying Arsenal fans must feel bad that their neighbors have a manager who is wanted at other clubs, but who actually would take Wenger if he ever left Arsenal?
These days arrived long ago for the gunners. The big boys have been taking their pick, at will, from their squad for years.
Perfect result! either side couldve nicked that in the last 10mins, this really should go down as points dropped for spurs here. was a good game to watch tbh. tomorrows headlines? "flopenetto Loses title to 10 man goons"
More concerned about us staying in the top 4 than winning the title tbh...we are 8 points clear of united...but they have a game in hand now. From now on we play all our remaining matches on Sunday or Monday so we will be constantly playing catch up and still have to go to stoke, west brom, liverpool and chelsea...we only got 4 points from those matches last season....and we have to play united too! Can easily see us slipping up (again) on the last day like in 2006, 2012, 2013...
Nope...it would be very bad but would have to go some to match Pools mess up at palace and against chelsea to give the title away
I think some of the posters on here are being a little premature. Arsenal needed to win that game, and they didn't. The juggernaut is cruising, at the moment, but it will gather pace over the next games.
