I thought Blackburn should have had a pen with the last kick.

Burnley are doing what we can't do and that's win ugly.

They're winning the local Derby games, which we couldn't against Wednesday. I think Burnley are looking likely to take the title.

We should have made better use of signing a striker that has played in this division - someone like Andre Gray.

We beat Ipswich like that, though.

You're never going to let the Andre Gray thing go are you? <laugh>

Granted, we should've done more to sign him. It'll be Tom Bradshaw at Walsall next, he's the next one we'll miss out on because we can't be arsed to dig a bit deeper.

Definitely the key games for us in our run in. We need to be up for it and at it in those games but, like you say, it's a worry with us passing up these opportunities to win matches in recent games.

No, it pisses me off that we've signed players that can't even make the bench - then Diomande who frankly looks hopeless.

Maloney £1m Diomande £1.7m Dusan £1m (?) there's circa £3.7m of wasted money, not to mention combined salaries. That's half way to what Gray cost Burnley.

Then we've signed Powell as a centre forward, yet every time he has come on as a midfielder.

We should be romping this league, but we have chosen to add expense to the wage bill in areas we simply didn't need to.

Why at this stage of the season have we got 3 goalkeepers? We don't need 3. We've got more goalkeepers than recognised out and out strikers.

I wouldn't describe the Ipswich game as an 'ugly' win - we dominated.

Yes a win against Blackburn and a draw against Sheffield certainly puts our recent results into perspective. If only we could grind out the points against those teams eh?

I'm not disgreeing with you, but was Maloney a £1m?

Powell isnt a centre forward. He's an attacking midfielder, he should be replacing Diame's position.

Are we still allowed to sign any players? Is it free agents only or can we get loans in?
I'd give my right nut to sign a proper ****ing big man centre forward.

    UP OR D
Thats our missing link isn't it… someone to score one or to at dead ball situations, give the defence something to think about and allow Hernandez to feed off him. We'd been linked with Lambert at season end but that I fear will be too late.. Burnley did great business selling Ings and finding a replacement.

To be fair, it's quite hard to let the Andre Gray thing go just at the moment!!

to be fair we did dig deeper - Brucie spunked nearly £10 mill on Hernandez - £8 mill on Livermore, £7/8 mill on Snodgrass - he made nearly £6 mill on Long but lost most of that on Jelovitch - to be fair Brucie is ****ing useless with investing in players so its not really surprising the owners wouldn't trust him with any more - and that excludes the £2.5 he wasted on Prozzie, the £1.5 on Sagbothen he lost Macca and Rosie for **** all to buy Odubajo for £3.5mill, Quinnie for **** all to be replaced by Clucas for £1.5 mill - **** up after **** up - at least he managed to keep Junior on the books for three years as a Prem player then doesn't pick him to play in the Championship - at least not picking him is the right decision even though 3 years of wasted wages is another **** up/ feathering his offsprings nest

You forgot Macgregor and Robertson and another £6 mill on Huddlestone. … I think Odubajo and Robertson will provide nett profits but I fear you're right about everyone else

Decided not to renew the pass next season because we never signed Andre Gray.

    It's all about priorities.

It seems Rotherham are not having the trouble we had breaking down the Wendies.

    Yes indeed.
I do sometimes think that we may be overestimating how good we are.!!!
Are we putting the likes of Burnley and Brighton down whilst caught up in our own over inflated sense of importance.
    !!! Just a thought.!!!

Yes. Apparently it isn't possible to consider other teams in this league might beat us. We should be getting promoted this season, but the likes of Burnley are also freshly relegated, playing well and scoring goals. I think they'll win the title.

I dont think theyre playing well.
But they are fit, they press and harrass the opposition and grind out wins.
    Thats what champions sometimes do.

By 'we' you mean the players. Well we've seen they thought they just had to turn up at some places like Preston and Rotherham anyway. Even in more recent games we don't always see a full game.
