There are players in the XI that shouldn't even be there. There are players on the bench that have proven their salt and for whatever reason, rarely get a run of games. I don't watch these players in training but whatever Bould and Wenger see during those sessions, it certainly doesn't translate well on match day.
If we are to be honest, it looks like Wenger has given up on the title and is focusing on our only realistic piece of silverware this season (The FA Cup) as we have a replay on Tuesday. I'm happy Welbeck is starting as he deserves it but to put Monreal (one of our few stand out players this season) and Campbell on the bench is criminal. In NLD you would surely play our strongest team. I understand Cech is injured but why start Gibbs and Ramsey ahead of Monreal and Campbell respectively?
Don't forget it's 2 trophies for Wenger, as he counts a top 4 spot as a trophy, along with his supporters, so they're all happy and content.
Looking at Spurs team, with Dier, Alli and Dembele in midfield, I just can't see how we're not going to get overran in midfield unless they all have an off day. So much power and speed in the centre. But the latter two also carry the ball forward very well, so we're going to have to put in 110% if we want anything from this.
We can't string three passes together, need to keep the ball for longer. And stop giving away free-kicks in dangerous positions.
