It's quick march for the Chairboys as they yomp to Rodney Parade to march out at the home of the Exiles and need to halt recent away results having lost the last two 1-0, the Exiles have about turned their early season form and have won their last two at home also 1-0 and that could be the score again as two of the divisions lowest scorers go to war. RSM Ainsworth has acquired a new recruit to his ranks with the arrival of Gunner Rowan Liburd on detachment from the Royals and we all hope he will be on parade with Sgt Hayes on the front line, also Cpl Pierre will be hoping for a return allowing Lance Jack Harriman and Bombardier Wood to form a pincer attack to supply the ammunition for the offensive duo, Sgt Thompson may be kept in the rear party before being called up to do some more square bashing. I've been on night manoeuvers this week finishing Saturday morning and will be stood down for the rest of the weekend on a 48hr pass, so I will be following the action on Soccer Saturday expecting those Blues to come marching in and parade the spoils of war back at Adams Park HQ
Will be played on a pitch that has more sand on it than grass, hope it doesn't ruin our Barcelona style of play.
Do you mean we may have to change our style of play It may be a good day for playing the kids they are used to sand pits
Wycombe: Allsop, Jombati, Jacobson, McCarthy, Pierre, Harriman, O'Nien, McGinn, Wood, Liburd, Hayes. #NEWvWYC
That looks like our best team selection for a while, great to have Pierre back and Harriman on the right and not in defence. Just saw a photo of GA inspecting the pitch, bloody hell it looks worse than previous pics of it that i saw, makes Plymouth look like Wembley!
36: this doesn't look good. Liburd goes down hurt after twisting his knee on the troublesome pitch. 1-0 #NEWvWYC
Not strong enough by the looks of it. Hopefully they will get the hang of beach football for the second half
64: Liburd hits the bar! Great set-up by Hayes and the new man spins and cannons it against the woodwork. 1-0 #NEWvWYC
