West Ham set up with 3 CB's and two flankers. That stifled their wide men and also meant that Kane was left on his own against 3 at the back. I don't think Wenger would change our set up in this way, partly because kos is out so he'd have to bring chambers in and sacrifice a midfield player (and partly because he's too stubborn to set up to nullify the oppo) So what we will have to do is make sure that players like Ramsey in particular. But also Sanchez and ozil drop back into midfield to press the ball, otherwise Spurs will just play through us and ping balls into Kane all day long.
Wenger might bite the bullet and change things around to get a favourable result. Avoiding a loss should be paramount for Wenger, even if he sets out the team to grind a result. A resulting loss will not only screw us up in the league but the sh1t storm he'll receive will be bad. This is the last thing you need challenging for the title.
Getting back to the actual game, isn't this the way we want derby games to go with everything on the line? It should promise plenty of passion, something you want from a NLD!
I think regardless of whether we are AKB or WOB... we all want what is best for Arsenal. We shouldn't classify ourselves. .We are all supporters with different opinions. For me, this is the best chance we have had at winning the title in a very long time, and I am very disappointed that the players don't seem to have realized it. A win today might give us the impetus it did a few seasons back in the 5-2 result. Realistically, it's going to be a very difficult game for us.
If so it would mean Campbell starting on the wing, which is a good, high energy front 3 (with Sanchez on the other wing) but considering Sanchez' awful form and shooting, it's hardly the most prolific front 3 in the world...
Ooh that's a surprise - No Campbel, but Ramsey seemingly playing on the flank with Coq and Elneny starting. Ospina Bellerin Merts Gabriel Monreal Coq Elneny Ozil Sanchez Ramsey Welbeck
Hoepfully we will keep the ball better in the centre of the park this way and break up their attacks, allowing the speed of Welbeck and Sanchez to hit them on the break. I'm not hugely confident I have to say...
I'm not fussed about Coquelin and Elneny starting, I think we may be quite cohesive and will retain possession more in the middle of the park (in principle). What I am annoyed about is Ramsey starting again, despite yet another garbage performance, and Campbell being dropped after his excellent performance against Swansea. That is a very bad decision.
