    1-0 to us and I'll stick to Graziano scoring... he's got to eventually, hasn't he? :confused:

    Right now this has been changed to a positive thread I'm just gonna throw this out there...

    It was only October that pundits were talking about Mane, Pelle & Tadic as one of the best front threes in the league. Let's hope they show it again!!

    Talking to my Sunderland mate yesterday and he was nearly annoyed as I was about Bournemouth result and also Arsenal result. Said that as we can't be relied on to win the games we should, then he reckons Sunderland will get something from us this weekend. Have to say I agree. Sunderland seem to be trying harder than we are. Hope I am wrong.

    I'm hoping the Northam don't spend half the game singing songs abusing Johnson/Sunderland, as I just think it will give them that extra mental edge to dig in. Plus, of course, with the other half a game being used to sing anti Pompey songs, there will be no time left to support the Saints.
    Seriously though, we saw how anti Lallana songs helped stir the Liverpool fans, during the League Cup game.

    I am going for a frustrating 1-0 win but will be very happy for the result and can happily do the 175 mile drive home happy again...COYRs!

    Absolutely right. I love being on the Northam for the noise as it reminds me I'm at a football match not in the local library but my pet hates are:

    the moronic "Southerners" chant;

    Pompey chants;

    the inevitable and even more mindless "if you really ****ing hate them clap your hands".

    Just keep supporting Saints. It's not difficult.

    Last time I was in the Northam, there was a bloke who kept singing ` `Ampshire born, `Ampshire bred, strong in the arm, and thick in the head.` He was partly right. I went for a piss at half time, and he was singing it in the bog too. I haven`t a clue how the game will go tomorrow - Saints could get their mojo back, or Sunderland will turn up hungrier for it than we are.

    Although when they sing "you dirty northern bastards," my Dad and I (sitting either side of my son) can dig him with our elbows and giggle like schoolboys, with my son having been born in Wigan.

    Not sure if I qualify for the DNB label. Was born in Blyth, Northumberland, lived on the Isle of Wight for 18 years, lived in Newcastle and Stockton for 48 years. Supported Saints since 1968! Am I a DNB or Soft Southerner?

    Friend is our worst ref ever ! (SAFC) so we are glad he won't be reffing our gigantic match tomorrow. Hope he gets well though.

    It takes some doing being the worst ref ever amongst the current crop.

    Your biggest worry now is that we might actually get a ref who will give us a penalty, because Friend doesn't do us any favours, either.
    With Friend in charge we'd be hard pressed to get a penalty even if Pelle had his leg ripped off and it was used to beat Mane over the head with.

    Think Steve Caulker did more to stir the Liverpool fans that night. Only when they started winning did they throw the anti Lallana chants back at us. Notice they never backed up Lovren <laugh>

    I know where your coming from though. I always squirm at any gloating whilst the game is still going on, because you just know it will come back to haunt you.

    Where is a goal scorers when you need him? In Middlesbrough, Gaston 2 Wolves 0. Now he turns it on! Could we get him back for tomorrow?
    Just realised this on General footy thread, oops.

    Good luck to him. Hope he can find the consistency to take Boro to promotion, and in all likelihood replacing at least one of Sunderland or Newcastle. At least it would give Yorkshire one PL club in Hull dip out.
