I can see it now: he'll get Boro promoted, they'll sign him, and then he'll score a hat trick against us next season.
Never doubted his ability. I'm kind of glad that I never succumbed to jumping on the easy bandwagon of doing him down. The guy has ability and vision. It just needs to be in the right setting. For his sake I hope he makes us regret losing him. Short of coming back to haunt us, of course.
Think Championship is his level. At that level you can probably afford to carry a player of his ability. It's a bit like that QPR guy taarabt. Who was great in the championship, but couldn't get anywhere close to consistent in the premier league
Finding his feet again [well more accurately, other players feet] after getting a run in the team. He's actually the creative player we still lack. Good for you, Gaston.
I think he might well turn it down. I've resentfully said all along that him and spurs are the perfect fit, and not just because they both have something of the night about them; he has everything he needs at spurs to achieve what he wants, whereas Real is a poisoned chalice. Managing a bunch of big time Charlies and pandering to their egos is not what he's about. Reckon he'd take the Barca job though.
http://www.gazettelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/aitor-karanka-would-sign-gaston-10994589 Boro would sign Ramirez tomorrow if they could. I am genuinely pleased for Gaston...nice to see a smile on his face. Could we see him in the PL next season?
Me too, really pleased for Ramirez. He could well play a big part in pushing Middlesborough over the line to promotion.
Finn Harps beat Derry 2-1 in front of a sell out crowd...1st win over them in 18 years, 6th win in 60 games, 2nd league win ever against them! A player who last year wasn't deemed good enough by Derry scored the winner...What a time to be alive, this is what football is all about!!
Saw that....can only assume the ref had turned away before the goal chance developed as no one looking at the goal area would have blown a fraction of a second before the ball hit the net. Looked at his watch, blew the whistle, then looked up. Nothing he could do then.
Can't blow when a team has attacking intent like that. Feel sorry for the players having a dumbarse like him reffing the game.
