Francesco picked the team last night and if he does again for Norwich make three changes to the starting eleven. Barrow instead of Routledge, Gylfi instead of Ki and Palo instead of Gomis I hope he doesn't play the diamond and uses the system we used in the second half.
Norwich are going to be a harder nut to crack than the Arse, this may sound odd but they are fighting for their lives, have always been fast, determined, dogged, ready to have a go and never give up, unlike us sometimes. Agree it`s not now a must win game, it`s a must not lose game. The tougher one I feel is going to be at Bournemouth. If we can put Norwich to bed, then we can go down south with a lot more confidence. I don`t think we`ll lose on Saturday, just scrape a win, if we play like last night.
The Swans home record has been poor all season, but the Canaries away record over the last 5 games is even worse, losing all 5. After some beatings at Bournemouth, Stoke, Spurs and Aston Villa, Norwich took a more dogmatic approach at Leicester and it nearly worked - the Foxes taking 88 minutes to break down the Canaries defence. Saturday is slightly different as I feel Norwich must chase the win, something which would suit the Swans. If Norwich decide to park the bus, there's always Leroy Fer to pop one home from 20 yards................ Swans last 5 at home – WLWDL (7pts/15) WBA 1-0 Sunderland 2-4 Watford 1-0 Crystal Palace 1-1 Southampton 0-1 Norwich last 5 away – LLLLL (0pts/15) Spurs 0-3 Stoke 1-3 Bournemouth 0-3 Aston Villa 0-2 Leicester 0-1
So Norwich have only managed to score one goal away in last 5? That gives us hope if we can only manage two goals
Key match stats (supplied by Opta) Swansea City and Norwich City have met 52 times in all competitions with both sides winning 21 games. The Swans have won just one of the seven Barclays Premier League meetings with the Canaries (W1 D2 L4). There have been 15 goals scored across the three Premier League meetings between Norwich and Swansea at Liberty Stadium. Swansea have won just two of their last 12 Premier League matches at Liberty Stadium (W2 D5 L5). The Canaries have kept the joint-fewest clean sheets in the Premier League this season (3, along with Sunderland). A league-low 25.7 per cent of Swansea’s passes have been in the final third of the pitch this season. Only bottom club Aston Villa have conceded the first goal of a Premier League game on as many occasions as Norwich City (20 matches) this season. Norwich have conceded more goals from crosses than any other Premier League team this season (15). Swansea City have conceded a league-high 10 goals from corner situations in the Premier League this season. After scoring in each of his first four Premier League appearances this season, Swansea striker Bafetimbi Gomis has scored just once in his last 21 games in the competition.
Guids is staying in hospital and Curt will take charge. I wonder if he'll pick the team or be under instruction from the ward? He's unlikely to have total free reign.

Curtis said on the radio that FG had already picked the team for tomorrow, even though he won't be released from hospital until next Monday. I feel it will be a tight game tomorrow with neither team wanting to concede. Free scoring Leicester took 88 mins to break Norwich down,so we have to be patient. Norwich are our bogey side, but so were Everton and we put that one to bed recently. A draw wouldn't be so bad really as it pegs Norwich back and we have the 3 point cushion from the Arsenal win. We definitely do not want to lose this one.
Oh hell ........ Lawro's tipping a Swans win What a great win for Swansea over Arsenal on Wednesday, especially with their manager Francesco Guidolin in hospital with a chest infection Another Swans win would edge them even closer to safety and I think they will get it against a Norwich team that, along with Sunderland, have got the worst defensive record in the league. The Canaries have conceded 53 goals in 28 games, not far off two a game, which means to win a game, they have to score three. Lawro's prediction: 2-1
I agree about Norwich being our Bogey side like we are Arsenal's bogey side. Hope we can put this one to rest As they are desperate to keep up and keep us within reach!
We need all the points we can get, especially the 6 pointers this month . Teams like Norwich , Sunderland , Newcastle and Bouremouth are better than the table appears imo . I think it may take a full 40 points to stay up . Especially Norwich , they are a lot better than their results the last half dozen games .
I heard Curtis saying today that Guido picked the team and tactics for Arsenal, but Curtis had full control on changing tactics and subs etc. Hopefully we will see an implementation of Alan's tactics etc tomorrow.
