Ironic it takes a non-City fan to post the most sense about tonight. Some of us lot seem to have our knickers in a right old twist
We've played a lot worse and won. It's worrying that goals have dried up for us - although we should have had a blatant penalty. Hull City have never done things the easy way - this will go down to the wire as usual! Hernandez, Diame and Diomande all firing blanks. Powell does not look like the answer to anything. We move on - it's not the end of the world!
I'll stand up and be a moaning ****er… maybe because I want us promoted and am tired of the results… maybe those who don't moan don't give a **** either way..!!!
Clucas guilty of missing at least two clear cut chances, we hit the post, the bar, had a stone wall penalty turned down, and other chances went begging as well, tonight we had enough to win three games, and if they don`t start knocking a few in soon we could be struggling in the play offs, Livermore for me ran his socks off, and was knackered at the end, Thudd again flattered to deceive (don`t think it`s coincidence that with Thudd in the team Livermore looked so shattered at the end). Diame I`m afraid could be benched after tonight, Powell the likely successor, but Jake needs help in the engine room, Meyler or Hayden in for next league game, as for Diamonde, I still don`t think his shooting boots have arrived from Norway ! There`ll be more twists and turns before the end but tonight was a big loss for me, next time we play we could well be in fourth, trying to catch up again.
i'm not normally one to throw toys out of the pram, and if it were a one off performance like that there would be no reason to moan, but given it mirrors 2 of our last 3 league games and that we've only scored in 2 of our last 7 games, i'd say some frustration and venting is fair game tonight
Agreed. It's easy for fans to be frustrated tonight, I don't think it's fair to say it's unjustified.
Just one of those games whereby the ball just won't go in, we certainly had enough chances. Ref was ****e, that was a nailed on Penalty.
We're going to get the rough and the smooth with Powell, aren't we? He played well when he came on, and was far more eager to get the front men involved on the deck than Huddlestone had been - but then he showed his immature side at a crucial moment near the death, letting his brainless side take over and harm the team. Let's hope Bruce can get the best out of him - the lad is talented but clearly still childlike in the head.
They've gone in once in 450 minutes of football. Thats pathetic no matter where you are in the league
At least Clucas gets in position to get good chances, more than you can say for most others. Powell is lively but he seems to want to beat too many people at times instead of passing. Diame is just taken off the ball too easily too often.
