I noticed motd didn't show the city players losing it and lucky not to get red. Unless they did and I wasn't paying attention lol. Didn't even discuss it after game with shearer and Murphy. Swept under the carpet as usual

Great tackle that set the tone but that was only a small part of them game. Flanno was superb. You can say he was beaten but Sterling as and will beat better players than Flanno during his career, it happens. The important part is the reaction and Flanno recovered brilliantly.

I'd love someone to name a defender who doesn't get beaten one on one by someone at least once per game. The supposedly 'immense' and 'world class' Kompany had a mare and actually, that isn't exactly a one off either.

Flanno isn't world class, but **** me, I have more faith in him as a defender than anyone else in our squad. I know he'll tackle things that move and get rid of the ball quickly and safely. I also know he'll be back in position. That only helps the team imo, especially the rest of the defense.

 

I liked the one at the weekend when he declined to give away any team news in an interview:
"I think that even in Manchester they have television".

Brilliant- all he needs now is to actually get us playing decent football consistently.
