Johnson should have done a Wazza and had a go at OAP's instead, would have still had a career, been made club and national captain and got to slap a wrestling superstar in front of a large audience.

The difference being that one is legal and the other isn't: two consenting adults and all that.

Yeah I know that, that's not to say some of Wazza's elderly conquests were easy lays only because they were duped due to senility though.

I honestly think he should get what he deserves here.

The guy is a mult millionaire who can afford posh hookers... if he's the sort to cheat on his wife. going after kids is so disgusting.

    He's a bell end that's for sure.

He knew she was 15 and yet still went there, he's therefore an idiot.

I don't think the **** label is right though, as what he did with this girl was consensual and she was playing along with his flirting etc, but she was underage and the law dictates what happens if you cross that line - more fool him for going there.

By all accounts he's as thick as pig **** and he was humping all sorts behind his partners back. A typical example of the modern day millionaire footballer, who thinks they can have everything that takes their eye. His decision to add a school girl to his long list of conquests will define his life from this point on. He'll forever be the **** footballer and shunned wherever he goes.

Once he's done his time his life could well end up being a complete car crash.

After the BBC/Savile debacle Sunderland could be facing some very difficult questions about duty of care to their minor fans..

Their Lawyer apparently saw copies of the police interview and the text exchanges...as did the CEO..yet they allowed him to play on....

If they'd have sacked him they'd have had to give a reason and had he'd have been found innocent on all charges, they'd have faced a huge lawsuit for wrongly dismissal and possible defamation. Not to mention the prospect of their decision being viewed as potentially influencing the outcome, had it gone the other way.

They had no place passing judgement, they therefore had to let the justice system take it's course.

I don't think they could have done anything else tbh. Their decision was taken in conjunction with the PFA and their lawyers as I understand it.

they should have suspended him on pay and said your conduct is unbecoming.

we've seen a lot of that with far less cause.

    Filthy animal.

It might but i think its just one drop in a big ocean from here on in.

Its not about LFC for me.

Its just the fact he was in effect dead to rights and any sensible ceo or club lawyer should have seen it and put him on gardening leave.

After seeing in the transcript of the police interview that he admitted to contacting and kissing a 15 year old girl that has to be grounds for the very least suspension...which they initially did..

There could have been nothing in those interviews or text exchanges that a decent club lawyer would say...Na he's innocent lift the suspension.

He initially met her on club property...he used club property to entice her.

Bound to be breaching employee code of conduct at the very least. You don't have to be proven a criminal to be sacked from your job...just breach the terms of employment or bring your employer into disrepute.

I very much doubt using your club position and facilities to make inappropriate (illegal or otherwise) contact with a minor fan is seen as acceptable behaviour.

It would have got me suspended immediately and in most other jobs.

They chose to make an economic decision at the cost of a fan of minor age. They thought he might as well play seeing as we are paying him and ride the flack if he goes down because we might not...

The consequence of this decision was a defacto backing of the player which lead to increased abuse aimed at the fan in question...a child. Apparently they sang songs about her at the ground ...(obviously I can not confirm that one)

They are ripe for suing anyway....
