It was a Hull City press conference, he could have used "Tigers". Stop being a **** and accept that this is a tale of two "City's".
It's hard to take someone seriously when writing as a fan if they call the club Hull. It screams Ex-liverpool fan.
I hope he goes this way too, Hayden has been shelved for way to long now. Huddlestone might get another start alongside him tonight given that Birmingham are happy for other teams to have a lot of possession, this would be no bad thing as I've thought for a long time him and Hayden complement each other
Why don't you ask next time you meet him, I am sure he will be more than happy to discuss it with you. I think what is hard to take seriously is someone who purports to want to see improved supporter involvement, but who then makes a remark like that. Supporters invited to attend and report from the Press Conference is a positive move, so what, in a report that is about Hull City and Birmingham City, he used Hull to differentiate between the two clubs and you find fault with that, grow up.
Why not say Hull City and Birmingham City then? Or City and Birmingham? Why would any City fans think the mention of City was a reference to Birmingham City?
I can see your point, but he could have said 'City' referring to the Tigers and 'Brum' for them. N'est-ce pas?
Locally, City are not referred to as Hull, as it's the generally accepted name of the rugby league club that share our ground. Assuming that this is aimed at just City fans, it's odd to use the term, there's no need to get pissy about it.
I was going to edit the first paragraph out, but decided not to. It isn't written by me. It is easier to edit on here than on the web site and as everyone involved is working, there is little proof reading and editing done. Its a case of "here's the copy" and that is what gets put on the site. Improvements will come along. I am sure that he has had more than one reminder of the matches played in Europe, but to be honest I struggled when asked last week. I automatically thought about domestic games.
According to Tiger Base - a great source for data and stats - we have played (drum roll) 108 times on Thursdays. Many are holiday games - New Year's Day or Boxing Day. But one in particular stands out. Thursday, March 31st, 1966.
