Welbeck enjoyed an excellent campaign with Steve Bruce's Black Cats before injury curtailed his progress with the Stadium of Light boss admitting this week that the spell was so successful it scuppered any hopes he had of transforming the move into a permanent transfer. "I am really happy to be back," he told PA Sport. "The time at Sunderland has benefitted me massively. "It was a different part of my career. I went there as a boy and came back as a man. I am really happy with the way things went. I am always looking to improve."
I can see him coming back in January if he does not get much pitch time. He knows he would be a starter for us, he is going to find it hard not even making the bench some weeks.
would love danny back but i fear he could end up like evans hanging on the edge of the man utd scrap heap with players with only reputations that are better than his keeping him out of the team
recon youve nailed it thier mate cant understand why he dont say to Fergie first team or im off, hes too good to bench warm
If Fergie doesnt play him, i recon your right he will come here, but if Won is as good as he has been pre season he may end up surplus to requirements, his choice
lets not forget wickham aswell if he hits the ground running he and gyan would be a tasty strike force with sess in a free role between midfield and attack gyan wickham sess gardner catts larsson very nice
SAF has said his signings for the summer are finished, so maybe DW will have a chance to stake a claim for some games there, not gonna be easy for him though.
