    upload_2016-2-28_19-29-55.png Swansea City. v. Norwich City upload_2016-2-28_19-29-55.png

    Premier League
    Sat, 5 Mar, 15:00
    Liberty Stadium

Following 2 consecutive away matches in North London, the Swans return to The Liberty Stadium to take on fellow relegation strugglers, Norwich City.

The Canaries arrive in Swansea having suffered a heartbreaking late defeat at Leicester last Saturday, and after playing Chelsea at Carrow Road on Tuesday evening.

Suffice to say that neither side can afford to lose this game and whilst a draw would seemingly be a better result for the Swans (assuming that Norwich don't beat Chelsea in midweek), in reality, given their difficult final 7 matches of the season, a draw would seem inadequate for Guidolin's team.

In the corresponding fixture 2 seasons ago, the Swans ran out 3-0 winners, with 2 goals in the first half from De Guzman and 1 in the second half from Routledge.

My heart says the Swans will win 2-1, but my head fears that it will be a 1-1 draw.

We simply have to win this as its a 6 pointer. Failure to win will be disastrous and could be a huge nail in our coffin.

The game I fear the most .
Even though I thought Norwich didn't do enough in the window and results are not bringing them much in the way of points , they are playing very well .
This could be the biggest banana skin we've faced since our arrival in this god forsaken league of greed .
If Norwich do the double on us we pretty well deserve the drop in my opinion , not that I don't think we will win ... 2-0 for us .

I'm very, very worried. Lose this and we're down. The depressing thing for me is that Norwich already know our game plan!

Give me some hope Guids, FFS.

Norwich are fast, give everything, break fast and can score quickly. We can take a goal lead, rest on it and lose in the last 20 minutes. We are like a bunch of middle aged men (no offence to middle aged men, I`m past that), needing a *** break after 60 minutes. Although having said that perhaps taking up ***s might improve the fitness, `cos at the moment they`re fecked by the 70th minute.

As said above, this is a must win game, lose and we are well on the way down. At least I suppose we`ll finish above Villa, if we`re lucky. What`s the idea of bringing on subs with only a few minutes to go? **Mind, what a brilliant result that was against Arsenal on Wednesday**.

**just in case it goes our way, long shot I know, but hey ho. <cool>

2011 was our Premiership Play Off Final. As far as I'm concerned this is the 2016 Relegation Final - it's that important.

A must win or bust imo.....Ok we are not down until it's mathematically impossible to stay up but the odds will get smaller. I have zero confidence in Mr G and live on hope we can scrape a win by any means possible...

I'm missing this one as I'm away in London for the weekend. Watching Palace v Liverpool on Sunday (don't ask!) but will have a spring in my step if we get the three points.

But like many other posters, I'm not optimistic and I'm sort of glad I'm away. Never thought I'd say that. :(

As Greavsie used to say " It's a funny old game!" We've played at the Emirates 5 times in the PL, losing only the very first one (& then to a "freaky" Arshavin goal), winning 3 and drawing the other!

Last night's win now needs to be backed up with another victory on Saturday. That would take us 9 pts clear of Norwich.

With Sunderland away at Southampton we could move 9pts clear of them also.

Bournemouth are away at Newcastle. What's best there - a draw or a Bournemouth victory?

Norwich will come looking primarily to avoid defeat so it could end 0-0 but I think we have enough to win 2-0
I trust Saints will win and a Bournemouth away win will suit us which will see a 9 point gap

For me, the three points at Arsenal changes the complexion of this game. Instead of it being a must win game, it's now a must not lose game. A draw won't be a disaster for us as it would maintain a healthy six point lead.

A win however would give us a 9 point lead over Norwich plus a superior goal difference so in effect a 10 point lead. This is a golden opportunity to break away from the teams at the bottom. We've had several good opportunities to do just that this season and have failed in every one. Let's do it this time!!

This is vital. However, we know Guids has been very cautious in his outlook so far, so it remains to be seen how we set up. If we carry on where we left off against Arsenal then we can definitely win this one, and by a couple of goals.

Bournemouth victory. 0 points for the teams below us is a must as leapfrogging Bournemouth makes no difference . We already have between 9 and 13 goal difference on those teams (not included Villa as they are already gone).
Looking at the remaining 10 fixtures I think between 6 and 9 points will do us, as, the likes of Newcastle, Villa and Norwich in any 10 match consecutive run none have them have come away with more than 12 points.
In the last 10 games they haven't come away with more than 9 points. The worst we have done is 8 and average is 10. So form suggests we should be okay. :emoticon-0100-smile
